Torain Train and Harvin for White- WHIR

Postby unkleskott » Thu Oct 14, 2010 10:59 pm

My roster is below.

I am trying to pick up a superstar WR...would Harvin/Torain or Harvin/Mathews be close to fair to get Roddy White?

The other guy is in trouble for RBs.

Thanks for the help.

8 man PPR league.
Starting lineup:
2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 2FLX ,1TE, 1K, 1 D/ST

My team is:
QB: Schuab, Bradford, Roethlisberger
RB: Gore, Mathews, Foster, Turner, Torain, Snelling
WR: CalJohnson, Welker, Bryant, Harvin, Wallace, Tate
TE: DalClark, Finley

His team:
QB: Rodgers, McNabb, Flacco
RB: McFadden, Caddy, Lynch, Thomas
WR: Driver, White, Maclin, JacobyJones, Breaston
TE: Shiancoe, Miller

I'll start by saying your team is a lot better than his. And I think that is a good move for you. I'm having trouble figuring out your lineup because you guys play so many players. But I don't see when you would really ever play Torain except if he has a great matchup. Although don't forget that Harvin is going to be a lot better now that Moss is there, but there is the liklihood that Favre is declining fast which doesn't bode well for Harvin. I think it is a decent deal for you. Take the deal. Roddy White is a top 5 WR.

Help me with mine:

In a no bye week I would start:

QB: BigBen, Schuab
WR: Megatron, Welker, Harvin
RB: Foster, Gore
TE: Witten
flex: Turner, the best matchup play left

First off, RB's are much more valuable than WR's. Mathews and Turner are worth more than White straight up but Torrain isn't enough (he hasn't proven himself yet). I'd probably try and get a little more than just White for either Mathews or Turner (maybe a QB swap for an upgrade for you) but with the depth at RB that you have, you can afford to be giving up the better value as it will still improve you starting lineup.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

12 team redraft: Rivers (Q1), CJ (R1), McFadden (R2), B Wells (R3), Caddy (R4), Forsett (R5), AJ (W1), Fitz (W2), Royal (W3), Sims-Walker (W4), V Jax (W5), V Davis (T1), Kaeding (K1), Jets (D1)
