Should I trade for Rivers?

Postby Haba13 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 12:49 am

standard noPPR 10 team league - starting QB,2RB,2WR,TE,FLEX,K,D

Trying to trade for a better QB than Schaub and was offered: Schaub,Gore,Holmes for Rivers,Best,Shiancoe. I hate to give up Gore, but Rivers is the best in the game! I guess the question here is how good Best will be rest of the way or will Schaub pick it up?

my team:

QB:Schaub,Freeman
RB:Peterson, Gore,Torain,Michael Bush,S.Greene
WR:Boldin,Hicks,Holmes,Amendola,Mike Wallace,Stve Johnson
TE:M.Lewis (Lost Finley to IR)

I'd make that trade quick before he pulls the offer. Personally, I think Best and Gore are a coin flip. I don't see you losing anything here. Remember, Best has been injured the past 3 weeks so it's hurt his production. He faces a tough Giants run defense so his numbers will be down again this week but after that he should be a beast unless his turf toe injury nags him the whole season (and I don't think it will). You give up a little at WR but who cares, he's your #3 WR and you'd only play him during bye weeks. I think the upgrade you get at QB MORE than makes this trade good for you.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

12 team redraft: Rivers (Q1), CJ (R1), McFadden (R2), B Wells (R3), Caddy (R4), Forsett (R5), AJ (W1), Fitz (W2), Royal (W3), Sims-Walker (W4), V Jax (W5), V Davis (T1), Kaeding (K1), Jets (D1)
