Barring injury, Best should be a top 5 back the rest of the season. While Owens has looked good at times this season, his point production on a week to week basis will for me remain volitile (in projecting his points). He may be good one week and aweful others. A player that scores you 20 points in one week may win you that week but when he dissapears for the next 2 - 3 weeks he can cost you many more wins than he gains you. I can't see Jones "exploding". I don't know where you are getting this from, maybe I'm wrong but honestly, I tend to believe it's much more likely that it's just "optomism" from some writer than it is actually based upon facts (from things like his line getting better, him getting more reps, HE is actually running better, etc).
Me, I wouldn't do this deal. You are trading away the best player in the deal and the only "elite" player in the deal. Best should be considered elite at this point in time. Owens is at best a 2nd tier WR right now who has had a few really good outings. Jones is still a question mark at best as far as I'm concerned.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.
