Donald Brown for Crabtree - 14 Team League

Postby phorts » Fri Oct 15, 2010 8:22 am

Not a very sexy trade but one worth garnering some advice on.

14 Team League H2H - Standard Scoring - Start QB, 2WR, 2RB, RB/WR, TE, K, D

I'm in need of a WR this week if Megatron can't go and it looks like he won't be able to. I'm also actively shopping Welker and hope to have him dealt before the weekend, which leaves me in dire need of a dependable WR.

My Team:

QB: Ryan
RB: A Foster, S Greene
WR: Welker, D Mason
Flex: Caddy
TE: Pettigrew (Finley dead)
BN: Megatron (Inj), D Brown, F Jackson (Bye), D Will (Bye), B Scott (Bye)

D Brown was my Ace in the hole but he's been injured and Addai has been hard to knock completely out. That and Hart seems to be gaining some ground on the backup role. Brown is just so talented.

Could i get more? I like Crabtree...hmmm

help!

leave a link and i Will help in return as always!

I like Crabtree as well. The last two weeks he is seen a consistent increase in his targets and that has coincided with the offense playing better. Brown is not really needed on your roster as well. You have some good depth at running back and Crabtree's upside fits the needs of your team better.

Why trade welker though if you are looking for steady WR's? He is now the number one guy in a Tom Brady offense. I'd stay put there unless the deal is overwhelmingly in your favor.

help?

Thanks for the help.

Reason i'm dealing Welker is because I'm in a Patriots fan heavy league and I think I can get Ray Rice for him and Greene (Should i do that?).

So i guess maybe i should wait to see if

A. D Brown is playing this weekend
B. I can get this Welker/Greene for Rice deal done.

I sent him Welker, Fjax and Caddy for Rice and he denied it..lol

I like Welker and Greene for Rice. It makes your starting two RB's incredible. But you would need to be sure that you can turn this Crabtree deal in that case. You have no depth at WR and would not feel good about starting Mason week over week.

But Rice is a stud and is just beginning to take off for the year

thanks for the help on mine

brown for crabtree is good but it's becomes necessary if you trade welker.

i'd do it either way.
