I'm in several leagues and getting my butt kicked, primarily because MJD, except for one game, has completely underwhelmed. Should I rest him this week and give Mathews the start?
I also have McCoy who ain't sitting and Bradshaw.
What say ye?

That's the way I'm leaning, BUT, I also realize Norv Turner is the coach, the man who took arguably the best RB in the history of the league and turned him into a non-factor in one season. That's the only concern I have.

man this is a tough call... its sad to see MJD turning into a match up player :( i think i'd start Matthews over MJD this week because of the match up. I also think Matthews could turn into the #2 RB that many predicted once he's fully healthy which hopefully will help you turn your season around.

Yeah, LT had declining years in SD. But part of that is age. RBs have less tenure than other positions. They get banged up and retire by 32. Mathews is young, and against an undeniably terrible defense. You HAVE to start him. He's healthy again, and Rivers isn't going to have to throw. If you were looking for a breakout week for this rookie, of all weeks you'll get it this week. Start him. Even tho it's hard to bench MJD.
In one league I'm 1-4 and in 3 of the 4 losses, I've lost by a COMBINED total of 11 points. The only week I've won is when MJD had his good week. This week is basically do or die for me. I just hope I can trust (hee haw) Norv Turner when he says Mathews is the starter and will get a lot of work. And yes, it's extremely difficult to sit MJD.
