It's a coin flip. They were trying to spark the team, jolt them. We lost that game more than Texas won it. We had eight dropped passes, three of which would have gone for TDs, another one would have put us first and goal inside the ten. You can't win a game like that.
Pelini said the game wasn't Martinez' fault and I would agree. Two of our most reliable players just stunk it up out there. Another guy who waffles between game-breaking brilliance and crushing ignorance decided to have a crushingly ignorant game. Texas shut down Martinez on the run game, but he threw the ball well enough to win. This loss is 100% on the wide receiving corps.
