I have been rolling with Pettigrew since his breakout week, leaving Daniels to pick splinters on my bench, but I'm not terribly keen on giving Pettigrew the "nod" again on the road vs my D/ST this sunday. Regardless of whom (Hill or Stafford) is under center for the Lions, I'm not sure that EITHER will have much/enough time to consistently target, let alone complete passes to Pettigrew this particular week; the Giants' defense and PASS-RUSH in particular has suddenly come to life as of the Chicago game where they sacked Cutler 9 times alone, concussing him and sending him to the sidelines for a week... Owen Daniels' issues are well-documented here in the Cafe, and I am trying to decide whether or not to believe HC gary Kubiak when he claims that Daniels looks better than he has to date, despite a hammy strain that limited Daniels in practice wed/thurs... SO...

Pettigrew vs my D/ST or Daniels in a "breakout" performance vs the Chiefs manana?

I think I would roll with Daniels. Seems like he got more looks last week and I think he'll be fine going forward.

thx for the input Hoosierdad, I currently have Daniels in there, even if I don't completely "buy" into what Kubiak is trying to "sell" the public at large, regarding his recent comments on his pass-catching TE... as long as Schaub himself is buying it, I guess that's all that matters...

Anyone else? Any Pettigrew-backers/Lions honks who have been hearing positive things locally or elsewhere ? I DID see that Detroit brass just awarded Scheffler a 3yr extension/$2mil bonus today... Man, I just have the feeling that the G-Men are fully capable of shutting down a Lions offense that erupted for 40+ against the lowly Lambs last sunday... Anyone?
