Dieon Branch vs Roy Williams...also Ryan Torian

Postby killatb212 » Mon Oct 18, 2010 5:01 pm

I am attempting to pick up both Dieon Branch and Roy Williams off of waivers this week starting tomorrow...which one would you guys suggest prioritizing first.
Branch and the Patriots play a slumping San Diego defense on Sunday
Williams and the Cowboys play what seems to be a more emerging Giants defense.

any suggestions on who to pick first off of waivers?

also from what Ive noticed Washington Redskins running back Ryan Torian has become the featured back with Portis out, and opinion son him?

If you need WR help, get R. Williams first. 5 TDs in 3 weeks is no fluke.

The man is physically gifted, very intelligent and in a serious rhythm at the moment. Romo tossing the ball isnt a bad thing either. If it were Palmer or Jimmy Clausen I'd say Branch is the guy.

Next depends on your team.

If you need RB help most, then Torain is the first person you pickup this week.

In either case, both will be gone after waivers go through this week if your league is even half way conscious of what happens in the NFL. I would even go as far as saying if your not in the better half of the waiver priorities this week, you may not get either one.

Both of these guys (WRs) are good for the rest of the season whereas Torain is going to diminish his role when Portis gets back, although it probably wont dwindle all the way to nothing. So assuming my priorities were WRs I would go: Williams, Branch, Torain. Be happy if you get 1WR if you have a so-so priority level.

I would go with Branch. Brady is much better than Romo. Plus patriots throw more than the cowboys. Also, you can't deny the relationship Branch and Brady have!! I think Williams is riding a wave that will die soon. Why didn;t we see this coneection last year? the clock is ticking for Williams this year!! Hope that helps.

Williams over Branch. Torain over them both unless you just don't need a RB, and even then, you might get better value at WR by picking him up and trading.
