Need a bye week QB fill in... WHIR

Postby TRSmithV » Mon Oct 18, 2010 6:12 pm

Peyton on bye

I can get:
Freeman vs. StL
Hasselbeck vs. Ari
Chad Henne vs. Pit (prob not gonna happen)
Alex Smith @ Car

I'd prob say that they all are pretty equal with a slight disadvantage to Henne simply bc of Pit. Hasselbeck is pretty interesting vs. Ari but being a Bucs fan I might go with Freeman.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Out of those options, I'd probably say Smith is the strongest.

Cassel, Hasselbeck, Smith then Freeman are the best waiver wire QBs for fillin this week. Lets face it they are all suck to mediocre-on-a-good-day, so you're playing the matchups.

Cassel isnt on the list but has the best matchup. Hasselbeck is second best matchup against the Cardinals* with a WR corp that is trending towards real-good. Smith is next against CAR with some great passing options as well, but the CAR secondary has like 9 picks this season and are NOT slouches like the Jags.

Then there is Freeman playing against the 4th best fantasy Defense this year with STL. Look for TB to be down going into the 2nd half so Freeman will be throwing, but the new guy on the scene is my least favorite matchup and QB against this albeit half-ass bunch of QBs.

Ironically, Cassel just became available and he is playing the Jags, not Hasselbeck, he is playing Arizona (not much better).

So I'm gonna go with Cassel. He's on waivers but I'm gonna take a chance and not use my waiver spot bc no one else really needs a qb this week.

Thanks for the help.
