I am near the top of my WW rankings: an important decision to make. In short my WR corps in underwhelming and full of underachivers: Not good considering we start 3 WR or 2 WR/1 TE weekly and explains in large part my 2-4 league record. I really don't have anyone capable of having monster days- though I am striving for more consistency at the position.
This is a PPR league (.5 PPR / 1 yd per 10 yds rush/rec/ 6 PPTD
My current WR/TE crew includes: WR- Fitzgerald, Colston, M. Floyd, Crabtree, D. Bess TE- Z. Miller
Looks like I will have a great chance of getting Branch or D. Bowe on waivers tomorrow: who makes the most sense for my team going forward- this could be an important pickup as I feel Fitzgerald and Crabtree will make a decen 1-2 tandem going forward.
This is a really tough call but I think i would lean more towards Branch. He will get more targets in a pass first offense. Bowe, although he was great last week, is much more inconsistent Here's mine: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=481512
Fitz has been getting better each week after having a knee injury in the pre season and the qb issues they have. He will still get his catches, but I think his numbers will be off from last year until they get consistent qb play. Colston is the big question mark, he has hurt a lot of people with his off year, but I think there whole offense is off right now. I would say by the stretch run they will be back. Once Pierre and Reggie get back that should open things up and he should be better also. I think Crabtree is a decent #3 wr for you also, hopefully he can become more consistent also. I like Bowe better than Branch going forward. He has no other real threats to steal catches from him, so if he can stop dropping the ball he should be able to produce and be a good player for you. I know Branch is the hot pick up, he had a good game, but since he left NE he has been injury prone and has done nothing. Good luck.
db- I do like Fitzgerald's status with Hall at QB- and a favorable schedule to boot. He will not put up monstrous numbers of years past- but looks like Hall is more accurate and will put the ball out there for Fitz to make more plays. I also agree about Crabtree's surging of late. I have little faith in Colston and now Floyd- withhis inj, and V Jax coming back soon.
Any other thoughts on the Branch vs Bowe WW pickup?
it's definitely a hard decision to make. I picked up Cassel yesterday to fill-in for the next few weeks, KC has a soft schedule, which will help bowe, but at the same time, Branch looks like Branch Super Bowl MVP. I think as far as long-term (fantasy playoffs) goes, Branch is the better pick-up.
