Peyton on bye this week. Who would you pick up to take his place for week 7: Matt Cassell at home vs Jacksonville or Carson Palmer at Atlanta. Scoring is 1 point for every 25 yards passing, 4 points for passing TD, 6 points for rushing TD, -1 for interception. There is NO bonus for yardage milestones. So who would you go with. If you need help leave a link and I will answer all. Thanks!!
I would say Palmer has the bigger upside of the two. He isn't playing well, but he is playing better than Cassel. Good luck nd thanks for the help on mine.

For the entire season i would probably go with palmer and may still this week after the way Kolb lit up The Falcon's D. However, for just this week I kind of get a feeling Cassell may do well against that terrible Jax secondary. Still can't decide. More input please!!
I actually am a fan of Cassel here. He managed a great game against Houston with no pics and 3 TD passes. KC running game is so well, it gives him a better chance to put up numbers, plus I just don't believe in Palmer anymore.
GL
10 team league QB- Romo RB- Charles/Gore/C. Benson/F.Jones/J. Stewart/B. Tate WR- M. Austin/A. Boldin/M. Williams/K. Britt/J. Ford TE - M. Lewis K - Buehler D- Chargers
I'd have to go with Cassell here. I'm not a big Palmer fan even though he's probably better then cassell the Jax defense gives Cassell the edge. Good luck!
Tough decision. Cassell has the much better matchup but how often will he have to throw? Especially if Trent Edwards starts next week it's going to be an easy day for KC's offense. I might lean towards Palmer just because the game should be close and both teams should be passing.
Needless to say- Cassel has a great matchup at home vs Jax- but he has been erratic all year. He also has a great RB tandem to rely upon- whereas with Palmer RB play is more inconsistent Palmer has been more consistent but with a more challenging matchup on the road.
I do think Cassel may be ready to turn the corner and does have a great schedule ahead but would really like to see what he does in the next few weeks to gain more confidence in him.
In the final analysis, what does the rest of your lineup look like this week? If you have favorable matchups with RB and WR (and your opponent does not)- then perhaps you can go more conservative and stick with Palmer. If it looks like you are fighting an uphill battle, then perhaps you take a chance on Cassel and hope he continuies to get on a mini-roll vs Jax.
All things being equal- I'd lean towards Palmer due to his edge in consistency and weapons inthe passing game, but would not blame you for taking a chance on Cassel with htis matchup. Good luck this weekend.
Palmer doesn't have much to give anymore. The team is full of ego and distraction.
KC, on the other hand, has a team that is young, confident, and playing mostly-well together. Bowe has a reputation for dropping passes, and is playing with a big chip on his shoulder. This last week, he did well hauling in a chunk of yards and some TDs. I think he will be playing with the same, if not greater, intensity for Cassel. Consider this in conjunction with the humiliation that is the Jax secondary, and I think Cassell will be much stronger.
I have to go with Cassell for this week for the same reason I picked him up today, Jax pass defense is horrid, we all know that, KC will get some rushing yards, but if you watched last nights game, Jax stopped CJ for the first half of the game and into the 3rd until TN had their huge lead and ran it down their throats. Cassell will put up 2/3 TD's again this week, and probably for the next few weeks, I'm fully expecting to leave him my starter until Vick is back.
