Waiver--Branch and/or Garcon?

Postby POJO_Risin » Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:04 pm

Alright, I've got Louis Murphy, who just needs to go away. Should I use my #3 waiver slot on Deion Branch or Pierre Garcon, or should I hold onto the slot for someone bigger down the line.

Also, would it be worthwhile to try and get both WRs?

My roster is fixed positions, so I can't drop a D or a TE for a receiver...

WHIR...

12 Team Head to Head, 2 player Keeper League--WR PPR RB...the positions are fixed, I HAVE to have 2 defenses (4 RB, 4 WR, 2 QB, 2 TE, 2 Def)

QB-Aaron Rogers
RB-Michael Turner
RB-Ryan Torain
RB/WR Flex-Percy Harvin
WR-Larry Fitzgerald
WR-Austin Collie
WR/TE Flex-Kellen Winslow
TE-Vernon Davis
D-Pittsburgh

Bench
QB-Chad Henne
RB-Jason Snelling
TE-Kellen Winslow
RB-Jonathan Stewart
D-Lions

Injured--Clinton Portis

Either one should have more production than Murphy. I think both are pretty similar, and both should be used mostly for match ups, so it doesn't matter too much which you pick. Go with whomevers schedule you like more.

I'm not sure you should use a #3, it depends on the way your league behaves. In my league I would with your team on Garcon first, then Branch. I'd go for both. That's because my league makes alot of waiver claims and its easy to move up the list in a week or 2. I like Garcon's upside more, but he will be an every other game producer in that offense. I like him slightly more than Collie so that says something... but who am I

i'd go for Garcon first then Branch second. Also I'm sure Denario Alexander is a FA as well. I'd put him 2nd above Branch.
Eastmont League 10-3 (2nd Seed)
Wenatchee League 9-4 (2nd Seed)
Urine Trouble League 6-7 (6th seed boooya!!!)

Thanks for helping with mine, I would definitely go with Garcon. Manning is the better QB and as you saw last week likes to target Garcon. he has had so many targets since returning from his injury. Good luck!

Definately garcon. He is going into his prime whereas branch is well out if his. Branch is most definately worthy of an early waiver claim where garcon isn't also available.
