My Foster and Royal for his Ray Rice and DJax? WHIR

Postby DemonDeacon » Tue Oct 19, 2010 8:26 pm

In a PPR league with bonus pts for 100yds rush/rec and for long TDs (which makes DJax very valuable). I offered Foster and Royal for Rice and DJax last week and after talking with him I almost got him to pull the trigger but he pulled back at the last second. Should I reintroduce this trade this week now that DJax is hurt or is it even worth it at this point?

My Team
Rodgers, Vick
Foster, Matthews, Lynch, Greene
Calvin, Lloyd, Steve Smith (Car), Royal, Britt
Miller, Hernandez

We start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 1flex

WHIR
Eastmont League 10-3 (2nd Seed)
Wenatchee League 9-4 (2nd Seed)
Urine Trouble League 6-7 (6th seed boooya!!!)

absolutely go for it...

Sell the injury...sell the unknown QB...sell whatever you can...it would be a MASSIVE steal on your part on both counts...

Help if you can...

DO NOT TRADE FOSTER. I am very high on this guy. Ray Rice hasn't live up to expectations so far, and now Djax is injured. I think Foster will keep on doing really well, so keep him.

Thanks for helping me with mine

This can really go both ways. I'm sure the guy is much more likely to trade Jackson after the trade, but he may be more willing to trade him for good reasons, and that's because Jackson may be out more than one game. He will likely miss this weeks game, and then the Eagles have a Bye. If he can comeback after the Bye week and only miss the one game, then do the trade. If he misses more than the one game, it's not worth it. Ray Rice is due to get back on track (i'm optimistic for all the lousy big name guys: MJD, Turner, Rice). The thing that makes me really think Rice will get it going is that the Ravens are committed to getting him 20-25 touches a game. In the end, I think Foster and Rice put up similar numbers. This is a steal if DJax is only out for this weeks game. Out for more than just one game, don't do it.

this is a tough one, but if DJax is only out for a week, then you have to do this trade. i'd hold this trade till we get a better word on DJax. If for some reason he's out for a while, you can't make this trade.

thanks for the help with mine

please help with who to drop though:

I like it, Rice isnt that much of a drop off from Foster in a PPR format, and DJAX is a huge upgrade over Royal, especially with the long TD bonus. This actually looks like a very fair trade on both sides, not sure there's any reason for him to turn it down now that DJAX is out, and it looks like its atleast 2 weeks.

I say make the deal as well, Royal is a non factor for you and the upside of rice and Djax is a great coup for you for more or less Foster. Rice will end up a top 3 back by season's end , and Djax is a big play waiting to happen, the fact its a concussion not a leg injury etc. means he will be back and be his old self when he does come back.

If DJax only missed this week and the bye, by all means go for it. Huge upside for you. If he misses more time, then do it if you are in position to make moves solely for playoffs. If you need wins over the next few weeks, hold off on making the offer until we hear more about DJax and see how he looks.
