Postby JoshKnows46 » Wed Oct 20, 2010 6:19 am

Standard, Non-ppr league.

AIright first would you trade my boldin for jammal charles, it was a trade that was offered to me, and i'm kinda feeling like i should take it becuase i'm worried about Turner and D.williams, more so d.willaims. so should i take this trade?, would maclin, woodhead, roy be safe to fill in for boldins shoes?

Second, do you see any changes i should make to my current starting line-up?

LEAVE A LINK, and i'll be sure to help you too. thanks in advance.

My current starting line-up:
QB Ben Roethlisberger -@ mia
WR Miles Austin -vs Giants
WR Danny Woodhead -@ SD

First, Id say yes, take the trade. You could use a little help at RB and Charles has a very nice schedule down the stretch. Second, I may be tempted to start Maclin over Woodhead. With DJackson out Maclin could be in for a busy day. Other than that I think your all set.

okay, i offered this owner maclin/roy willaims for heath miller/charles

he countered with maclin for charles....is this a better trade for me than boldin for charles?

i would be giving up maclin to get charles (maclin is on a team that passes the ball 80% of the time, but boldin's playoff scedual is much better)

Take this one over the boldin trade?

Dont trade for TE for this bye week only. Just go to the wire for it.

I like the charles for boldin trade more than the charles for maclin. straight up. Keep Roy as he is going to come in handy throughout the season as a great bye week filler at WR.

Boldin for Charles.

Boldin for charles. Start Maclin for sure right now. You saw what happened last week when DeSean went down. I expect the same until DeSean comes back.

Please help with mine.

I wouldnt do it.

W/ the guys you have rostered - there is no way I'd be starting Woodhead.

I probably wouln' be running out 3 RB's this week either...

IMO Boldin/Maclin/Austin all need to be starting.

I'd hold Clark - he's like a WR at your TE slot.

Your RB depth is good - Charles is in a timeshare... that isn't changing IMO.

Turner/Dwill/Torain/Addai/Williams/Starks - if you want to move something, move a RB or 2...

IMO try packing Roy Williams & Torain for a RB

i was just thinking sd is terrible against the run, and woodhead is getting the most carries, while also getting the kevin faulk roll, so he's pretty much safe for a sure 10-12 points a week, and if he gets a td, that could be 16-18 points.... i guess its the wr eligbilty of a starting rb that i like against one of the worst rush defenses...if woodhead can get over 100 yards against baltimore, hard to imagine he doesn't get atleast that against sd, i also see ne leading most of the game since sd is thin at wr, i could see ne jumping out to a lead, and running the rock.....feel like baltimore is just gonna run all over bills, leaving little room for the passing game, and i'm not sure if maclin being without desean helps him, might hurt him pulling tennys best corner, and no one to take eyes off him, what your thoughts on maclin this week?...i just think the rb is the safer option, with upside against sd, am i overthinking this?

and i was trying to trade a wr, cus i have so many good options, and deangelo and turner have done zero for me so far, so i don't trust them, but i'd rather start a rb over a wr, cus its more consistant points. and i think charles is about to blow up.

That's the thing about Woodhead - he's not the starting RB & he's not a WR - he's a situational player - the previous couple of games BGE lead the team in carries, and he's the goalline back - the Patriots also tend to change things up on a weekly basis - could Woodhead give you 10-12 points or 16-18 - sure he could, he's just as likely to give you 3 - non PPR also hurts him - would you have ever started Kevin Faulk over Boldin/Maclin in a non PPR format? I know I wouldn't have.

Boldin has had 2 11+ games & a 30+ game - they're at home vs Buffalo who is a whole bunch of suck.

Maclin has had 1 10+ game & 2 20+ games - no DJax means he's the WR1 on a pass happy team playing @ Tennesse - who aren't exactly sporting a shutdown secondary.

The dual eligibility is nice, but there's no way I would play Woodhead over other borderline elite options - especially in a non PPR.

DWill/Turner/Austin/Boldin/Maclin is who I would roll basically every week that all 5 are available - unless it's an insanely good matchup (like Torain vs Detroit in a couple of weeks)

Is Woodhead a wonderful story - sure, but look at his numbers - 3 rushes for 42 yards 1 TD, 8 rushes for 36 yards 1 catch for 11 yards 1 TD, 11 rushes for 63 yards 5 catches for 52 yards...

IMO he doesn't touch the ball 16 times in a game ever again.

IMO he doesn't keep up his pace of .67 TD per game played.

IMO he doesn't keep up his pace of 68 YFS per game played.

If he does, great, you have your self a wonderful sleeper - the type of guy you can play when Boldin, Maclin, or Turner are on bye next week - there's just no way I'd roll him out there w/ other quality options at my disposal.

nice breakdown, i'll probable start maclin, but i can't start boldin becuase ravens won't get much more han 18-20 pass attempts in that game, bills cn't stop the run, and ravens gonna be playing with a lead....i'm more confident in torain than i am in d.will.

turner and d.will have gave me some close calls this year, i think i need to trade one of these wrs for charles...do you think turner and d.will gonna turn it around?...i'd like to sit d.will till he proves something.

its very hard to trade in my league, i basically have to overpay to make trades on players i want, or they wont trade.
