Strict roster reqs, week 7 byes, and injuries - oh my!! WHIR

Okiedokie, this is gonna take some expalining...

10 team redraft $$ league, standard scroing, no PPR - QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/FLEX/K/D

No traditional FA/WW pool - all adds are on a blind cash bid system - drop player x, pick up player y for $11 - if somebody else bids $12 - they get the player, all dropped players are not eligible to pickup until the following week...

Strict roster reqs - must draft & keep rostered the following...

QB x2, WR x3, RB x3, TE x2, K x2, D x2, 1 extra player of any position... 15 man rosters - typically, lots available in the FA pool.

My roster...

QB P. Manning/J. Cutler
WR A. Johnson/R. White/H. Ward
RB A. Bradshaw/L. Tomlinson/J. Addai/P. Thomas
TE D. Keller/B. Celek
K N. Rackers/M. Nugent
D Saints/Seahawks

I'm sitting at 5-1 in first place, 2nd total points (by less than 5, Peyton's off week to blame for loss & pt total).

This week I'm faced w/ a dilema - Peyton, AJ, LT, Addai, Keller, and Rackers are all on BYE... PT is hurt (and I doubt he plays).

I cannot field a full team...

QB Cutler
WR White
WR Ward
RB Bradshaw
RB Thomas (but I doubt he plays)
TE Celek
FLEX ....
K Nugent
D Seahawks

Here's what I'm thinking - I can say F it, probably take the loss & do nothing (I hate losing) & I really don't want to put up 50 or less and kill my shot at pts total (pays out)

Or I can get pretty aggressive/crazy...

Bid on Flacco - drop Cutler - I have absolutely no faith in the Bears O-Line (chances are, only week I would play Flacco is this week - home vs Buffalo, but his playoff schedule, if the Colts end up running away w/ the AFC South & rest players is nice - week 14 @ Houston, week 15 vs NO, week 16 @ Cleveland)

Bid on Marshawn Lynch - drop P. Thomas - 3 DNP's & (probably) counting, Ivory's emergence, Bush's immeninent return, Saints backfield carousel. Marshawn's schedule is an absolute thing of fantasy beauty - AZ, @ OAK, NYG, @ AZ, @ NO, KC, CAR, @ SF, ATL, @ TB - does he hold more value than PT going foraward??? PT - IMO out until week 11 where he gets... SEA (and Marshawn), @ DAL, @ CIN, STL (week 14....), @ BAL, @ ATL.

Bid on Ivory - drop Addai - only reason I do this is to fill a spot this week - he's hurt & on BYE this week - I will over bid to get him back on my squad next week (depending on injury severity... if he has to sit week 8, I'd have to do something here any way - Bradshaw on BYE & Saints get the Steelers...)

Bid on Hartlet - drop Nugent - it's a kicker, so I won't bore you....

Does this make sense? what would you do, all thoughts and opinions are welcomed.

Thanks & WHIR as always.

i have no experience with this type of league, so i don't know how much help i could be....i probable wouldn't drop addai for ivory, i'd probable just take a zero there....i think id rather start cutler this week, becuase flacco might not even attempt 20 passes,(reason i'm not starting boldin, they can run at will on the bills, they will have a big lead, and continue to run, flacco is probable the worst start of the week...i don't like the saints rb's even when healthy, so i would get marshawn. if they had a better option than ivory, i would drop addai, but ivory isn't anuff, ivory was limping at the end of last weeks game, and i believe he only had that great of a game becuase bucs are the worst rush defense in the league, cleve is actually pretty good this year, but they are bad against the pass, new orleans should have a pass heavy attack this week.

check back here, my reasons for starting woodhead over maclin boldin, tell me what you think about my thoughts....but i might start maclin over deangelo if i don't deside to take charles for maclin.

this^^ woodhead has a soft match-up against sd, and lynch has a soft match-up against zona.

I would probably not drop Cutler for Flacco. I still think Cutler will have a good season, with some down weeks for sure, but overall ok. Cutler has a good matchup this week, so I would not get Flacco.

I like Lynch. Seattle has a great schedule and Lynch is clearly getting work. PT doesn't have a great schedule whenever he returns and has to share with Bush and Ivory. I would do this.

I would not drop Addai for Ivory, unless you are sure you can get Addai back next week.

Kicker..nuf said.

Good luck

I'd rather drop Addai over Thomas because when both are healthy, I think Thomas has more value. I'd definitely try to pick up Lynch. I'd stick with Cutler instead of Flacco.
