crazy how a majority of the anti Mathews fanclub is A...Broncos fans...who would never tell u to pick up a Chargers (even tho fantasy isnt about your fav. team..) and B. a bears fan...who cant deny how good he looked against your defense in the preseason(knowing its just preseason...but still...you saw you stick hillenmeyer *who was a starter pre injury* into the ground) aaaand brush off a tackle from father fountain of youth Urlacher....you have 4....4 good rbs...you could DEFFINETLY drop the worst one for mathews...none of your bye weeks line up at the same time if they arent already passed so honestly you wont HAVE to play your technical #4 rb at all this yr...why not go with someone who indeed has more upside and just hope..Benson hasnt had THAT great of games...and as much as they are for some reason dead set on throwing to TO reguardless of how good Palmer is playing..thats pretty much his upside..
Mathews is avg. 6ypc give or take a little but has just looked awesome the last few games..and with wrs banged up he WILL be getting more carries if not for that then to spread out the offense by end of season. End of season youll be lookin at about 20carries...and he has been catching the ball well...it is a preference tho....even though i believe mathews has more upside then benson..
I think you have the right idea now. Stay put on this one. As the last commenter fully stated, Benson is not droppable for Mathews. I don't even have to go into all the reasons as he demonstrated them extremely well. With that, I would not drop Charles for Mathews. Splitting time or not, Charles is a great back and he's been getting a good amount of points WHILE carrying a shorter load. Mathews is still unproven, could get hurt again, and with a struggling SD offense, they may not be able to use him to the fullest. Stick with Charles and leave Mathews on the waiver. I figured I'd input to give you more support towards making the decision easier with all the people voting to drop Benson and only one to keep him. Hope it helps, and good luck!

dang, what mixed advice...and now for Charles...I've had charles all year and LOVE his upside. Yeah, maybe its just me justifying him in an 8 teamer but I really like his upside a TON. Benson, yes he is good, reliable, BUT I want guys who can do ok when they don't blow up (Charles has been ok considering his situation) BUT can potentially blow up and win game for me. Charles I see that potential, CJ, that potential, Mathews as he gets more looks considering how good SDiego is, that potential...Benson...nep, don't see it.
Personally, I'd trade Charles though or Benson OR both for someone like Peterson and then pickup Mathews

(Random note: Someone also said every 8 teamer is stacked...not if you start 3 RB, 3 WR, 2 QB...it actually gets really competitive when it comes to depth, decision making, etc)
