START ELI or CASSEL ON SUNDAY?? WHIR

Postby mlorusso1212 » Thu Oct 21, 2010 1:06 pm

Who should I start on Sunday? Eli is probably the better play, but he's going up against a desperate Dallas team and he can be real inconsistent. Cassel is inconsistent too, but he's going up against JAcksonville - who's pass defense is absolutely atrocious....who should I start on Sunday?

Eli has pretty much owned them in the past couple of meetings. With Hicks, Smith and Manningham...what more does he need?

I myself am starting Eli over McNabb, but Cassell WAS in fact plucked from the ww in my main league by a fairly savvy owner who has Schaub on a (bye) this weekend... and while I wouldn't expect a repeat performance of 200+yds and 3TDs against even lowly JAX, Cassell is probably a safer start than ELi vs a Dallas team that will certainly play like their collective backs are against the wall --- BECAUSE THEY ARE. Beware the wounded animal, or in this case, the Cowboys this sunday, whom I expect will play their best game of the season against a Giants team that is enjoying a 3 game winning streak. I can also envision a scenario where both offenses become unstoppable as the Gmen and Jerry's kids trade touchdown after touchdown, or, "Shootout City", but that isn't what most folks are "expecting" come Monday Night...

Cassell LOOKS like the safer start this week, bc that Dallas D can be nasty when motivated...GL

I would go with Eli. I too think the Cowboys will put on a good offensive showing this week and the Giants/Eli will need to do the same to keep up. Im guessing we see a lot of passes by Eli and he has some nice receivers to go to. I was contemplating starting Eli this week myself but I figured I would give Big Ben a try for the 1st time this season since I didnt play him last week. But I would definitely play Eli over Cassel.
