Crabtree for Torain? WHIR!

Postby phorts » Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:46 pm

14 Team Non PPR Standard Scoring H2H Redraft

Start QB, 2WR, 2RB, WR/RB, TE, K, D

I give: Crabtree
I get: Torain

My Team: (Week 7 Starters in Bold)

QB: M Ryan, M Stafford
RB: A Foster, R Matthews, R Rice, F Jackson
WR: C Johnson, M Crabtree, M Williams (SEA), P Crayton
TE: B Pettigrew, J Carlson
K: R Bironas
DEF: NYG

I just traded D Brown for Crabtree (Before Addai got hurt) but this other owner has 4 RB and a need @ WR this week (and moving forward really).

His Team:

QB: Sanchez/Cassel
RB: Gore, Brown, McFadden, Torain
WR: Roy Williams, K Walter (Bye), R Wayne (Bye)

I'm pretty sure I can get Torain for Crabtree...but should I send this offer?

14 Team League where most teams are trying to start 3 RB means the WW is VERY thin. Absolutely NOTHING on WW (Backups of backups are all gone). Recievers are a dime a dozen right now it seems so should i sell High on Crab and get me some Torain?

Thank you! And Leave a Link, I always help in return.

I would say yes, but that would put you really thin at WR. I say no

No.

Torain had a good showing against the small, porous Indy defense. his production should be notably less going forward. Portis should be back in a few weeks and the Redskins have a bye in 3 weeks, giving you 2 or maybe 3 outtings for Torain.

Crabtree is healthy & working hard in practice after some uncertainty in early part of season, new offensive coordinator getting him more invovled (and given the results that is unlikely to change), favorite target Vernon Davis has uncertain health w/his knee and Alex Smith is doing a little better in recent weeks. With 49ers so bad, they might as well be throwing the ball and taking some shots.

Plus, like others said, your WR depth is too thin.

I probably wouldn't do this even if you were deeper at WR, because you would be buying high on Torain. The fact that it thins out your WRs makes it a definite no in my opinion.
