Forte or Bradshaw. PPR. WHIR

Postby schmidty » Fri Oct 22, 2010 1:01 am

Pretty straight-forward question. This is the only spot I'm stuck on (for my RB2). PPR scoring. I can only start 1.

Forte vs WAS - Forte is feast or famine this year. These are his weekly totals with our scoring: 32, 16, 6, 5, 32, 13. Of course, he's been on my bench for both 30+ games, but I started him for one of the single-digit crappers :-B

Bradshaw @ DAL - Watching Jacobs steal his TDs last week was excruciating (especially since I was playing the Jacobs owner, and lost by less than a TD). But he consistently puts up the yards (leading rusher in the NFC, and #3 overall). His weekly totals: 15, 9, 20, 20, 11, 16.

Neither matchup jumps out at me as being much better than the other (both defenses have been giving up yards on the ground, but not many TDs). What do you think? Leave a link and I'll help in return.

Thanks for helping me.

If it were me I'd roll with Forte, though i don't think you can go wrong. Jacobs is stealing TD's and seems to be getting more options. Forte has been a beast and has higher upside in my opinion.

I go with Bradshaw. Coughlin makes an effort to run the ball. The big indicator is rushing attempts. Here is Forte's rushing attempts: 17, 10, 11, 12, 22, 8. The only reason why he got 22 carries two weeks ago was because Cutler was out and they had no other option than to run the ball. Here are Bradshaws attempts: 20, 17, 15, 23, 16, 19. I go with Bradshaw because you no he will give you consistent numbers.

Help me with mine:

Its close because of the matchup and the TD vulcher Jacobs.

Bradshaw will be effective at Dallas but he wont be the focus. There will be alot of throwing here. No need to discuss Jacobs role.

Forte, coming off an unimpressive game will bounce back this week because CHI is fired up after losing 2 of last 3 and has a good running match-up against WAS. Lovie Smith knows when they run well they win, expect to see alot of running from CHI.

These players could have similar bad and mediocre performances this week, Forte clearly has the higher upside of a TD or 2 and better match-up.

Thanks for answering mine. I like Bradshaw but in a PPR you have to go with Forte. He could have only 30 yards rushing but 8 catches for over 100. That is where his real value is.
