WR help - Moss (Santana) or Crayton - WHIR

Postby GoBgRd » Fri Oct 22, 2010 1:20 pm

Marshall is my #1 guy this week with Wayne on the bye. Moss is the obvious choice but with Naanee and Floyd both out with injuries and Gates not practicing in practice and most likely either out or hampered, Rivers will have to throw to some one. Add to that NE is the highest scoring offense in the league (30.8 Pts/G) so SD will need to put up some points to keep up and NE's DBs are young, inexperienced and getting torched. Is Crayton's upside enough to justify sitting Moss?

1QB,2RB,2WR,1TE,K,DST
6 pts for any TD, 1 pt = 20 pass yrds, 1 pt = 10 yrds run/rec., .5 pts/rec.

I personally love Crayton here. With all the factors taken into consideration, with the Pats secondary being suspect and the lack of options for Rivers - It seems as if Crayton should be in for a big day.

Moss may be the more reliable pick, but I don't see him, even on average, being that much better than Crayton given the WR situation in SD. Rivers will have to pass, and those passes have to go to somebody. Crayton may be high risk, but Moss isn't exactly playing on an elite offensive passing team anyways, so I'd say go with Crayton.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=481861, thanks!

I like Crayton over Moss because of the situation. I fact I even like (and picked up) B. Davis over Moss for the same reason. With Naanee and Floyd out and Gates at less that 100% (and maybe out)... The two of them will be thrown to a lot for big yardage and a few TD's.
