Who to Start: Kolb or Favre, Lynch or McFadden WHIR

Postby bobnerns » Fri Oct 22, 2010 1:22 pm

I've got two spots I can't decide who to start in. At QB, should I start Brett Favre or Kevin Kolb? At RB, should I start Marshawn Lynch or Darren McFadden?

Brett Favre at Green Bay
Kevin Kolb at Tennessee

Marshawn Lynch vs Arizona
Darren McFadden at Denver

McFadden has practiced and seemingly will get most of the carries for the Raiders if he plays, but I don't know how effective he will be in his first game back from injury. Lynch was outplayed by Forsett last week even though he got the majority of carries.

Leave your link.

I like Lynch all the way. Mcfadden is coming off an injury, and it seems as of right now he will be splitting this week with Bush. Lynch is gonna be the man in Seattle, and I see a HUGE week for him in AZ.

Kolb seems like a safe start, but part of me think Favre is going to show up BIG this week, like he did last year against GB. Tough gamble, but I think I would go w/ Favre this week.

Lynch all the way!!! Tough spot between Kolb and Favre, i persoanlly dropped Favre long ago, that aging guy but agaisnt the packers i can see him playing a little more like his old self and you cant underestimate the titans, they have had so many picks in their last few games, i def expect kolb to throw at least 1 pick and with favre is seems its going to automatically be a pick but the packers secondary is injured and AP will run on em all day with them not having Barnett i hate to say it but i think Favre but tis is super close...Hope this helps

Ditto on Lynch (he's a beast up against a ant hill this week)

I would say Farve as well as long as Harvin is 100% and I'm hearing rumours. if he's not, I might go with Kolb.

Lynch is the better play considering the matchup at home against ARI. Of course McFadden isnt healthy and that is a big contributing factor as well. Not to mention the time share situation with McFadden likely on the shallow end of it.

Kolb & Favre is infact a closer call I think. Favre has ALL in the intangibles excluding immortality. Kolb is the hotter hand in my opinion and Favre is playing the better pass defense opposing him between GB and TEN. However, the GB MIN game has all the makings of a shootout if GB can keep up with less targets for ARod.

Either guy is a good start in my opinion and should be starting in every 12 team league this week. If I wanted a safer play I would probably go with Kolb. Whereas I think albeit a more risky, Favre has the edge in upside as he could walk out of Lambeau with 3+ TDs if its his kind of day.

Favre if you need a hero performance to win, Kolb if your comfortable with your chances to be a clear winner.

I'm voting for Kolb to start this week. He really is doing a great job these past few weeks. Kolb knows this is probably going to be his last start of the season so you can really expect him to leave it all on the field. Favre on the other hand is surround with distractions and has a questionable elbow. I know Favre has been fine in practice, but the fact is there is no telling if his arm will last 4 quarters. Tendinitis is something that is so hard to judge, but in a throwing arm it will be a long game.

Zero question this week....You ROLL LYNCH. At home against a terrible run D. I'd start Farve this week...I don't like the guy but he's all about his legacy and playing against GB will add another chapter to his SI video. Kolb is good. ....but if Vick is healthy he WILL steal touches away from Kolb.
