Looking to make a move for WR - WHIR100%

Postby blatini609 » Tue Oct 26, 2010 11:49 am

8 team yahoo standard h2h PPR scoring . Start QB WR WR RB RB TE W/R W/R K DEF... WHIR 100% please leave a link...

My team's currently #1 at 3-1. However I've been getting frustrated with my WR core and I'm extremely deep at RB so I've contemplated making a move, and this guy is absolutely stacked at WR, and weak at RB... here's my team.

QB - Phillip Rivers, Eli Manning
WR - Hines Ward, Wes Welker, Jeremy Maclin, Pierre Garcon
RB - Mendenhall, SJax, Lesean McCoy, Reggie Bush, Matt Forte
TE - Zach Miller, Brandon Pettigrew
K - Rob Bironas
DEF - Philadelphia, Wash

HIS TEAM...

QB - Matt Schaub, Tony Romo
WR - Megatron, Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Mike Wallace
RB - Frank Gore, Ryan Torain, Danny Woodhead, Pierre, Thomas, Ronnie Brown
TE - Shiancoe, Hernandez
K - Dan Carpenter
DEF - NO

I was contemplating offering Forte for Wayne, Forte for AJ, and SJax for Wayne, SJax for AJ. I'm hesitant on Sjax because of how solid he's been. Should I go ahead and offer these four? Good move or am I overreacting to my WR situation... WHIR leave a link

If you can get AJ for Forte, by all means do it. But I doubt the owner bites on that. Wayne, he might do. I's honestly start there, and if he isn't interested in that, maybe he'll offer you Wallace. Who would be fine value for Forte, given your depth at RB and lack at WR.

Thanks for replying to mine. :-)

I would be surprised if he bit on Forte too. I'm just not sure it's worth giving up SJax for given how consistent he's been throughout the year.. although he is hurt now.

Thanks for your help on mine.

I think youre overreacting a bit. Hines should bounce back with Roethlisberger. He's clearly still got plenty left in the tank - hes shedding tackles so theres definitely still juice in the legs. Wes is a PPR rock, so dont trade him, especially when his stock seems low because you wont get fair value for him. Maclin and Garcon are homerun threats every game. I think youre in a comfortable position but if you feel the need to trade, Forte for Wayne or AJ would be an absolute steal for you. With Mendy, SJax and McCoy.. Forte is pretty expendable. You also have Bush on the cusp of returning and hes well positioned to take advantage of PT's continued absence and the Saints general lack of firepower.

I agree, if you can get Johnson or Wayne for Jax or Forte - pull the trigger.

Yeah you can afford to move a RB for a WR....and Forte for AJ is a great trade. I personaly wouldn't except that trade but I think you could definitely get a Calvin Johnson or a Wayne for Forte.

If he bites on Forte for ANY of his WR's I'd take it.

THat said, I don't think he will.

In all honesty, I think you'll be fine, Garcon is primed for a huge 2nd half w/ no Clark & Collie out for a bit. Maclin gets Vick & DeSean back - he's a extremely solid WR2, Ward w/ Ben back is a lowend WR1, I'm not very high on Welker, but 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

Thanks for help w/mine

If I were you I'd only consider trading Forte and like Mr. Panther said, for ANY of his WRs - things getting ugly in ChiTown..
I'd start with an offer for AJ and work your way down maybe working in another player as well....
