Romo down. no backup QB. WHIR!

Postby nimzox » Tue Oct 26, 2010 5:20 pm

I'm in a ppr league and lost Romo. Don't have a backup QB, but I do own the #1 waiver pick. I can either accept a trade where I get Fitzgerald and Stafford for my B.Marshall, or I can use my waiver pick to grab one of these guys:
Cassel
Henne
Kitna
Freeman
Fitzpatrick
What would you do? By the way, my other WRs are Andre Johnson, Floyd, Roy Williams, And Mike Williams from Tampa. Thanks! WHIR!

I would rank these QBS as follows:

Fitzgerald
Kitna
Cassel
Freeman
Henne

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm putting in wire requests on these guys tonight: Fitz & Kitna & Sanchez who is also available in my league.

You are talking about your starting QB...so you should put a waiver in...

I wouldn't pull that trade...no way...

So...I would consider rolling out the #1 slot for Fitz...but...while high on him...I'd also consider not using your waiver yet, and taking nearly any of those other guys, to be honest. It just depends...unless you think Fitz continues to be as good as he's been...to deserve a #1 waiver slot...

Help if you can...

no way on the trade.

go with your gut b/w Fitz or Kitna.

I think Kitna has better weapons and better arm... take a look a schedules I suppose

Fitz has looked really good, so that's my first thought. However, Cassel has the best matchups of any of these guys from now through week 13, but he has tough matchups (check out this tool: http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantas ... up-tracker) in 14 - 16 (probably the playoffs). Fitz and Henne have the best matchups in 14 - 16.

I think Cassel has been fairly consistent (with a couple sub-par weeks). While Fitz has been a little better, I think Cassel's favorable matchups put him over the top.

I think you'd be in decent shape either way, and better off than going with the trade.

Thanks for the help on mine.
