Trade Offer Torain, Bryant for Schaub, Lloyd!! What to do?

Postby Twelve Inch Ditka » Tue Oct 26, 2010 6:03 pm

I am 2-5 and need to keep winning to make the playoffs....another owner wants My Torain and Dez Bryant and I get his Matt Schaub and Brandon Lloyd. I would be down a RB and would likely pick up Lagerette Blount with the #1 Waiver pick up or Ryan Fitzpatrick and keep what I have and not complete a trade.

I need QB help and the addition of Lloyd would really spruce up my WR's if he keeps things rolling with Orton. Add/ Drops are capped at 15 per season and I am getting close lol

Start 1 QB 2RB 1W/R 2WR 1 TE 1K 1 DST

My Roster
Vick (Kolb getting dropped) Could pick up Fitzpatrick off of waivers.
Rice
Torain
T. Jones
S. Greene
Colston
Garcon
Crabtree
D. Bryant
Gates
Moeaki

His Team (3-4)
Roethlisberger
Schaub
SJax
J. Charles
R. Williams
B. Jacobs
B. Marshall
S. Holmes
B. Lloyd
D. Driver
D. Keller
V. Shiancoe

Doing it won't kill you. You get Schaub...which is a huge help to your backs, and you get Lloyd...who's the top guy in Denver. You lose Bryant...who may or may not continue to have ups from week to week without Romo, and Torain...who will only solo start until Portis return...then share...

Shake it up and make the trade...

help if you can...

I don't know, man. Depends on what Vick does rest of way. If he can start and tap into that vast potential that he did earlier in teh season, there isn't a whole lot of difference between him and Schaub, IMO. Also, Brandon Lloyd has been great, but I don't expect him to continue at that pace. There are too many weapons in that offense that deserve attention, and as the season progresses, I fully expect Damaryius Thomas and Eric Decker to get more comfortable in the NFL and to see more action in the passing game. I would look to move Lloyd right now if I owned him more than anything else.

There is no reason for Shanny to mix Portis into the starting RB mix with Torain doing so well in the role and being a Shanny pet project from a long ways back. There is a good chance Portis has platyed his last down as a starter for the Skins. If your RB depth was stronger, or if you were sitting at a better record, I'd suggest doing the deal. However, considering your situation and the players involved, I think I'd stand still.
