Ray Rice + Blount?

Postby sweettortilla » Wed Oct 27, 2010 11:02 am

I'm 6-1 in 12-team non PPR league. Looking ahead to the playoffs (weeks 14-16).

I think I could acquire Ray Rice and Blount (his) for my Randy Moss and LeSean McCoy.

Both McCoy and Moss have tough playoff schedules. Tampa Bay and Baltimore have much more favorable playoff schedules.

I like what I see about what they're doing with Blount and I still think Rice is the man. However, last week they gave 11 carries to McGahee, and that made me doubt.

Randy Moss hasn't performed this year at high level and with the Minn QB situation, don't know when it'll get better.

Looking at it from purely a playoffs standpoint, do you like this trade?

QB- Peyton M., Palmer
RBs - McCoy, MJD, Hart, Ward, Keiland Williams
WRs - Moss, Jennings, Branch, Gaffney, Anthony Gonzalez
TE - Witten, Quarless

Baltimore's playoff schedule is smooth like butter, and Ray Rice is going to tear it up. I'm sure they ar ejust giving McGahee more carries to make sure Rice is still alive and kicking come playoffs. I think from a playoffs standpoint alone Rice makes this trade worth it for you. If you think you can pull it off, do it.

Thanks for your help on mine!

If you can do it, jump on the trade. Rice will have a great backend season based on his upcoming schedule.

Good Luck,

I agree.

I think the trade is worth while. TB also has a fairly nice playoff schedule and it looks like they are grooming Blount to be the man (Williams looks all but done). I also think Rice will be fine in Baltimore.

Beyond the fact that Farve is beyond inconsistent, if he has to sit for any appreciable time than you have Jackson under center. Jackson may end up a better QB for what the Vikings need going forward but he is not going to stretch the field and Moss is not a huge fan of crossing routes. either way I think Moss's viability as a top flight fantasy WR will take a hit.

Yeah at 6-1 this is a must trade. Good for you to look at playoff schedule because I'm sure there are quite a few owners that dont look that far ahead. I'm also looking to trade for Rice lol

Any thoughts for me?

Good plan ;-D It sucks to finish on top and then lose cus you have brutal playoff schedules. I love ray rice in the playoffs and by then I think there's a good chance Blount will the featured back in TB.
