Ocho Cinco for Charles

Postby Shatner8 » Wed Oct 27, 2010 12:09 pm

Hey guys, I have just been proposed a trade where I would receive Chad Ocho Cinco for Jamaal Charles. Now I think Charles is worth a bit more then Ocho Cinco but I am really hurting at WR right now and have good depth at RB. I previously offered Charles for Deshaun Jackson but this is his counter offer. He also has Jeremy Maclin. Would Maclin for Charles be better?

Standard scoring 10 team league
Here is my roster:

QB Aaron Rodgers
WR Mike Wallace
WR Kenny Britt
WR Mike Williams(SEA)
RB Frank Gore
RB Jamaal Charles
TE Brandon Pettigrew
W/R Arian Foster
BN Roy Williams
BN Michael Crabtree
BN Knowshon Moreno
BN Marshawn Lynch
BN Carson Palmer
BN Reggie Bush
BN Steve Johnson

Thanks in advance

I would stand pat! your team looks good enough to make the playoffs, and Charles has a dream playoff schedule. The WRs you're trading for have question marks: Jackson's concussion puts his AND maclin's value at an unknowable quantity, especially in the context of the QB situation in philly. Ochocinco is not reliable, as you can see by looking at his weekly scores -- very all or nothing. Really his only good games are from garbage time scores, and sadly you can't count on the Bengals to even LOSE on a reliable basis.

Stick with Jamaal Charles for now... if you wait a bit you'll find out if one of your bench RBs is fit to replace him, and you'll get a bit more information on the Philly WR situation.

Best of luck with whichever way you go! :)
