Turner or Bradshaw Trade... will help in return!

Postby woods_opc » Wed Oct 27, 2010 2:50 pm

14 team H2H league with standard scoring. Can keep 4 players with no draft penalty the following year. Start 3 WR and 2 RB no flex

My team:

QB - BRADY, Orton
WR - JENNINGS, HARVIN, CRABTREE, Branch, Blair White, Vincent Jackson
RB - PETERSON, TURNER, Bradshaw, Lynch
TE - DANIELS, Finley

I am currently in second place (3 by points) in my league. League is very balanced though.

I have been getting by on my depth... playing the matchups with guys like Brady and Orton or Turner and Bradshaw. My weakness has consistently been wide receiver. However, as of late I am getting good production out of Jennings and Harvin. Plus I am 4 weeks away from the return of Jackson and can plug between Crabtree, Branch and now White with the Collie, Gonzalez and Clark injuries.

I have been getting a lot of offers for WR upgrades such as:

Maclin for Bradshaw
Fitzgerald / Steward for Turner

Should I be looking at dealing from my running back depth to upgrade at WR or role with what I got and continue to play the matchups?

Maybe OK on the Maclin trade, the Fitz - I'd only do with next year in mind (sucks for you if there's a lockout - of course, that would suck for us all)
my team (we play Q, R, W, 3 flex, TE, K, Def - 5 bench slots)
Q: Eli & Cutler
W: Rdy White, A. Jeffrey, D. Bess, R. Meachum, J. Nelson,
R: I. Redman, M. Leshoure, B. Powell, C. Johnson (sux)
T: V Davis
K: Gould
D: NYG

I would be looking to deal your extra RB for a great WR. In a 14 team league and having so much depth at RB is a great situation. Maclin isnt good enough to trade either Bradshaw or Turner for. Lynch is more than an adequate back-up in a 14-team league-he would start for quite a few teams I'm sure. Add Crabtree with your RB and you have a great chance to get a top WR.

Any thoughts for me?

Yeah, you are not reaching nearly high enough with Maclin...You have a stellar team for a 14 person league IMO. I do like the Crabtree and Bradshaw idea for a WR1...that should land you a Miles Austin perhaps...

and yeah for this year, I don't know if I see Fitz as much of an upgrade over what you have now...not over Harvin and Jennings...probably over Crabtree.

But yeah, w/o knowing your record, I can only assume you are probably headed for the playoffs. You are not in a tight spot where you need to settle, so dont! :)

Good luck?

Help?

Forget those trades lol, you should be getting a stud receiver for those. like randy moss, calvin johnson, maybe brandon lloyd or harvin along with a beanie wells or a low level rb.

this.. you have great depth at RB and to give up someone the quality of Bradshaw or Turner you should be getting a STUD in return. Try packaging up a lesser WR and a either of those two backs
