Which RB to target? trading Rodgers

Postby sullymichaels » Wed Oct 27, 2010 2:51 pm

I have Rodgers & Ben Roth.
Who do I target for my RB?
the guy with Foster doesn't want to trade him (even offered Jennings & Rodgers), the guy with AP has Eli & doesn't need a QB, so...

I've looked for good RB & questionable QB teams in my league:
MJD (he has Romo)
FGore (has Palmer & Vick)
CJohnson (has Ryan Fitz & Cutler)

would these be acceptable 1 for 1 trades with Rodgers?
my team (we play Q, R, W, 3 flex, TE, K, Def - 5 bench slots)
Q: Eli & Cutler
W: Rdy White, A. Jeffrey, D. Bess, R. Meachum, J. Nelson,
R: I. Redman, M. Leshoure, B. Powell, C. Johnson (sux)
T: V Davis
K: Gould
D: NYG

Yes! Here's my thoughts:

CJ - one to one, yes, do it if you can.
Gore - yeah, I'd probably do that too.
MJD - he has disappointed but has a GREAT playoff sched (weeks 14-16). But maybe you can get another piece for him since he's desperate?

Good luck! I like how you're thinking here.

Help with mine?

MJD is definitely your most likely option and I don't think it is a bad deal for you with Big Ben rostered as well.

I would doubt the Gore owner would make that deal. Palmer has been putting up decent numbers and Vick is back as of next week. Rodgers would still be his best option, however, not enough of an upgrade I think to justify parting with Gore.

CJ is also interesting. I don't think the owner would necessarily do it, but it may be worth a shot. Cutler has been garbage since the Giants game and Fitzpatrick is still the Bills QB. However, Fitz has been the best QB over the last 3 weeks (fantasy wise) and he may be gaining confidence in him.

I would say offer all three either way. Best chance of the MJD deal going through given his slow start and need for a QB, but I would still be happy with any of these three considering you also have Big Ben.

Good luck

no one took any offers or made decent counters. The MJD guy doesn't want to depart with RB depth & picked up Cassel & Tavaris J. He countered with TEN def. for Rodgers - DECLINED.\

I'll wait a week, hope they both stay healthy & shop them around next week.
With Lynch, Addia/D.Brown & R.Bush - I am not without a RB (we play 1 rb, 1 wr & 3 flex) to pick as a 'must play'.
my team (we play Q, R, W, 3 flex, TE, K, Def - 5 bench slots)
Q: Eli & Cutler
W: Rdy White, A. Jeffrey, D. Bess, R. Meachum, J. Nelson,
R: I. Redman, M. Leshoure, B. Powell, C. Johnson (sux)
T: V Davis
K: Gould
