Pickup Kitna? WHIR

Postby techman5003 » Thu Oct 28, 2010 4:02 pm

I have been suffering with the mediocre QB syndrome. Do I pickup Kitna and hope he has a few good games in him with the talent that is around him?

I am thinking about dumping Favre for him.

My roster:
Start - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex, 1 K, 1 DEF
QB – Jay Cutler, Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre
RB – Steven Jackson, Rashard Mendenhall, CJ Spiller, Donald Brown, Reggie Bush
WR – Miles Austin, Greg Jennings, Percy Harvin, Johnny Knox, Austin Collie
TE - Tony Moeaki
K - Robbie Gould
DEF - Seattle, Tenn

I like Kitna over Favre as well. I think Fitzpatrick is the better QB option if available tho.

I think you've been suffering with sucky QB syndrom - j/k :)

Definitely dump Favre. Even when healthy, he hasn't been putting up any numbers. Now that he has half an ankle, toss him. Not sure who's out there on you WW. I agree that if Fitz is available, pick him up, but he was hot on most WW's this week. Otherwise, Kitna's not a bad option. Also consider if they're available: Cassell or Henne or Stafford or Sanchez. Of the 6 (including Fitz and Kitna), Cassell and Stafford have the most favorable matchups over the next few weeks according to the CBS tool:

I was not sold on Favre even at the beginning of the season. He had a nice season last year but he has put together a bunch of average seasons and this year he just looks lost, or old, or injured, or just not into, as in I think it is over for him.

Kitna has a lot of talent around him so I think he is worth a shot. What would the downside be? He would have to work at it to be worse than Favre.

Never thought I'd say it, but I think I'd do it...Favre looked pretty bad and hobbled last week, and I can't see him doing much better...thanks for the help!

Kitna will outperform all. He's not that bad, he just hasn't practiced with the first team enough. HE'll take some sacks but he will spread that ball around to his elite WRs, TE and jones. Get Kitna, and start Kitna over everyone on that roster.

Kitna is better than Favre hands down at this point. Don't think twice. Who else is on the waiver?
