Should I trade Hillis? WHIR

Postby tjwashga » Thu Oct 28, 2010 10:57 pm

Was proposed the following trade...

Peyton Hillis
for
Ronnie Brown
Larry Fitzgerald
Mercedes Lewis

My current RBs are Michael Turner, Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torian, Felix Jones, Jonathan Stewart, and I just picked up Donald Brown.
My current WRs are Greg Jennings, Mike Williams (TB), Michael Crabtree and Deion Branch.
Zach Miller (OAK, obviously) is my only TE
My league starts RB, RB, WR, WR and RB/WR. Non-PPR

This deal is tempting. I feel that Fitz could help solidify my 2nd WR spot, but I'm worried I might not be able to absorb the lost of Hillis. I'm kinda leaning towards turning it down.
Thoughts?

Definitely not in a non-ppr.

Hillis is tearing it up on the ground and is also going to give you receiving yards every week as long as he's healthy.

In your format, I'd start 3 RBs and 2 WRs every week. Although Ronnie Brown is tempting, he's not going to give you Hillis' consistency. Brown is tempting because he's got nice championship week fantasy matchups, but who knows if Ricky Williams is the man by then? I'd much rather have Hillis than Brown...knock on wood.

Mercedes Lewis is not enough to sway me here...I'd probably prefer Miller anyway with Oakland's offensive explosion last week.

Fitz has no QB support and you're only going to start 2 WRs anyway. Jennings is a lock every week and then if you get Fitz, you won't need those WRs you'll have on your bench. It seems more fun to me to rotate the WR2 spot...who knows if he'll outproduce Fitz, but he should if you play your cards right.

Hope this helps man!
