My Witten/Crabtree for his Pettigrew/Torain? WHIR!

Postby phorts » Fri Oct 29, 2010 9:02 am

League Setup and Roster in Sig

I get:

Pettigrew
Torain

I Give:

Witten
Crabtree

I dont really need Crabtree since i am rolling with Calvin/Williams from here on out, plus i think he's even more unreliable now w/o Alex Smith. The drop from Witten to Pettigrew doesnt appear to be that much as he only has 30 less yds and 1 less TD. BOth are similar i think.

And Torain. While i think his value may be on the decline, i think he gives me one great week left this week and then a bye. But if/when Portis comes back he should still retain the starting gig for the stretch.

Truth be told, i'd probably be looking to flip Torain before this weekends games. So really i'm looking at the value of this deal, and i beleive torain has more value than Witten does.

What do you think? 100% WHIR.

Thank You and leave a link.

Personally I think the Romo injury has increased Witten's value; if you are just looking to flip Torain why not just go directly to the owner with the player you want and try and work a deal with them?

The problem is that you are asking for value for a unknown deal since you have clearly indicated you are not keeping Torain. Just based on your roster and assuming you are keeping him, I think the downgrade at TE is not worth the trade.....

Don't do it , did you see how much Kitna was looking at Witten. Witten could finish top 3 or 4. Who are you looking to get for Torain? I just traded Torain for S Moss to give you an idea of what type of WR you can get for him. Crabtree is a bum, no QB

I'd probably keep Torain for this week since he's got a good matchup and i could use the help at RB with Mathews vs TEN and FJax vs KC are tough matchups and Rice on BYE which leaves me Foster and MAYBE Hart if he starts.

Not worried about losing Crabtree.

but looking to deal Torain after he blows up this weekend and then has a BYE next week...it's a marathon not a sprint...

still on the fence..he's actively shopping Torain now and has a couple interested parties, but still would rather WItten.....

hmmmmm any other insight?

If he really wants Witten then I think you should aim high....what does his roster look like?

Tough one, Torain has more overall value, and Witten is more important to your team. I'd take Torain and try to trade him after this week. If you're too lazy to trade him, dont trade.
