Ronnie Brown @ Cinci (Cinci has a terrible run defense, however, he splits carries with Ricky Williams) Mike Hart vs Houston (Houston has terrible defense, but it looks as if Donald Brown will play, so he will split carries with Brown) Ryan Mathews vs Tennessee (TEN has great run defense and Mathews loses goal line carries to Tolbert)
I was leaning towards Hart, but it sounds as if Donald Brown will play Monday night, therefore I'm not sure how valuable Hart is anymore. Now that Brown will play, I'm leaning towards Ronnie Brown. Brown is yet to get it going this season, and I'm not sure if he ever will. If he does have a good game this season, I would bet on this one. Cinci is pretty bad against the run, but he's starting to lose more and more carries to Ricky Williams who has been considered more effective this year. Ryan Mathews is a headcase, I just can't see starting him when he plays a really good run defense, the chargers rarely run the ball, and he loses carries to Tolbert on the goal line.
What should I do here? Leave a link and i'll help back ASAP. Thanks.
Yeah I'm starting to think Hart is the better option. If they give him carries, he will get yards. Most teams play the nickel defense against the Colts, which means there will be room to run. I'm just curious how many carries he gets, and how many Donald Brown will get. Since Brown hasn't played in 3 weeks or so, and has only practiced twice, I'd have to imagine Hart will get most the carries. And i'm starting to think that the Cinci vs MIA game will be high scoring, making Miami throw the ball.
I wouldn't start Hart and thats because he will be splitting VERY FEW CARRIES with Brown in what will (by necessity) be an (comeback) air attack not a ground attack by Indy!
In a choice of the other two evils, I like Brow better than Matthews for sure!
Haha, I like the guy who said pray. I'd go with Brown, though actually. He hasn't been performing this year, but his schedule has been awful, against some of the best run d's in the league. Then the Pats game where they were getting blown out. His few games where he went against a average to poor run def he did quite well. Nothing spectacular, but he'll give you probably 8 to 15 points this week I'd say. Mathews or Hart I doubt will. Indy will probably be playing in a shootout against Hou, and I doubt Hart will have much to do with that. I don't trust Mathews, let alone against TEN defense.
I agree with choosing Hart. He's been looking pretty good, and I'm not too sure that Brown is 100%. Matthews is bound for a good game, but I don't think this week is it.
I'd go Ronnie this week. Donald Brown is slated to play and will split carries with Hart. Mathews hasnt been doing anything lately. Ronnie's got a good matchup.
