Monday Night Bye Week, who do I play?

Postby liquidvet » Mon Nov 01, 2010 4:08 pm

So I had an amazing week where I thought I was going to be a sure candidate to lose. Had 6 starters on bye going up against a fully stacked team including Brees, Gore, Tomlinson and Wallace and I am only down 12 pts 86-74 with two to go in a 1 pt ppr league (picked up Blount and rode his breakout).

Two to go tonight, one of them being Wayne and the other either being bye week fill in Donald Brown or Kevin Walter. Who do I play for my second guy? I want the best possible candidate because god forbid Wayne goes out there and tweaks his hammy and plays three plays. Running backs are guaranteed touches but this should be a shoot out. Not too sure what to do.

Thanks

Kind of six and one half dozen here. In PPR, gotta think Wayne gets you there, and while I have a feeling Mike Hart would be a better play than either Walter or Brown, I think you probably have to roll with a healthy(ish) Brown if he's good to go on the injury report. Walter has been a mess after his first few games, and he might only get you about 6 points (or ZERO like last week), while a starting Brown could get you a bit more and a decent chance at a score. Like I said, Wayne could have 5 for 70 in the first half, so it's probably a moot point. With that said, I'd take the starting RB points and help reduce Wayne's "magic number" as much as possible ;-D

Thanks. I was just concerned playing a runback with a hammy inj and with both corners out for indy I didn't know if I should spread my options. I'm pretty sure wayne will punish the worst pass def in the nfl but stranger things have happened.
