Zach Miller hurt, pick up Tamme? Drop? WHIR!

Postby Chuckles » Tue Nov 02, 2010 10:37 am

Okay, Zach Miller's been a stud for me, but if he's injured he's not the same...Tamme looked great Monday but I'm not sure who I'd drop...

10 Team League, basic scoring:

QB: Tom Brady, NE
QB: Michael Vick, Phi.
RB: Ahmad Bradshaw, NYG
RB: Frank Gore, SF
WR: DeSean Jackson, Phi.
WR: Santana Moss, Was.
WR: Mike Williams, TB
TE: Zach Miller, Oak.
W/R/T: Darren McFadden, Oak.
W/R/T: Jamaal Charles, KC
Def: Green Bay
Def: New Orleans
K: Dan Carpenter, Mia.
K: David Buehler, Dal.
Bench:
Pierre Garcon, Indy.
Ryan Torain, Was.
Josh Freeman, TB
Robert Meachem, NO
Minnesota Defense

It's a 2 start QB, Kicker, Defense league...both GB & NO have byes coming up in week 10, so I want to keep Minnesota. I'm thinking about dropping Torain since he's injured and coming up to a bye...thoughts? Leave a link & I'll help you!!! Thanks!!

Ahhh, too many starters! 8-o

I actually think in a 10-teamer that Meachem is a MUCH better drop than Torain at this time. Washington has a bye, AND we don't know the extent of his injury yet - he's still a "workhorse" back in that he gets the majority of his team's carries when healthy, so I think I'd rather have him rostered in a 10-teamer than a fourth target with some big play potential...

Hope this helps ;-D

Yah, I guess it's a good problem to have, right?!!? I can see your thinking there, and I do have a LOT of WR's right now...I just keep remembering last year's Meachem second half explosion...but that's why I scoured the WW earlier and drafted big on the RB's...that's a good call, thanks for the help! Any more thoughts out there? Thanks all & leave a link. ;-D

Without a doubt, I would drop meachem over Torain. You can't predict from week to week who will get the most passes their way in New Orleans.

First, yes pick up Tamme. Second, meachem hands down the person to drop. Torain would be next.

Torain or Freeman are the drops here. I'd probably drop Torain since Portis is apparently now healthy and Keiland is in the wings... Keiland sucks, but I see Torain losing carries all around and I don't think you need the depth. However, you can easily argue that you can toss Freeman with your studs at QB.

I'd drop Meacham for Tamme for sure.

Yes Portis is coming back into the mix at RB for Wash, but ya never know if he's gonna stay healthy!!

Look at mine?

I would definitely pick up Tamme. He got a lot of looks from Manning, and looked good catching the ball. I think he puts up 85% of Dallas Clark numbers, meaning he's a must own in every league IMHO.

In a 10-team league, I would drop Zach Miller. Unless there's a whole bunch of TEs rostered throughout your league, you should have someone of value available on the WW if Tamme doesn't work out. Or you could trade some of your depth for a better TE.
