Hey guys. It's me again. I made a thread about trading for Jennings last week but that did not work out. He declined my offers. Another team had Boldin on the trade block and expressed a need for RB. Start 2rb, 3wr, 1flex. Non PPR
I am 5-3 I have Johnson, Foster, Forte, LT, and Green-Ellis. WR are Roddy White, Crabtree, Burleson, Floyd, Gaffney, Thomas(Jax) and Blair White(will drop this week though)
He is 4-4 His RBs: Charles, Lynch, Sproles, Forsett. WRs are Andre Johnson, Boldin, Steve Johnson, Walter, Roy E. Williams, Tate, and Alexander.
So which one of my RBs should I trade for Boldin? Thinking Forte because I don't like him and the Bears have a pretty tough schedule coming up. Is Boldin the right value for Forte or should I go for AJ?
It's a lateral move meaning it's probably pretty fair. However, I don't see it as helping him very much while it definitely helps you. Thus, if I were him I wouldn't accept it. Remember, just because the value is far doesn't mean the other team will make the trade. You are moving a bench player for a guy you will start at WR. He would be moving a starter at WR for hm for a starter at RB for hm. While the 2 players should score about the same, it really doesn't get him more points each week. I think yo will have to give hm a decent WR too that ca replace Boldin for hi in his starting lineup. That way he is taking one starter and turning him into two starters. I think THAT is the way for you to go.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.
12 team redraft: Rivers (Q1), CJ (R1), McFadden (R2), B Wells (R3), Caddy (R4), Forsett (R5), AJ (W1), Fitz (W2), Royal (W3), Sims-Walker (W4), V Jax (W5), V Davis (T1), Kaeding (K1), Jets (D1)
Thank you for the response. You bring up some good points. So by decent do you mean Floyd/Crabtree or one of Gaffney/Thomas/Burlseon? I think I would be fine getting rid of Floyd due to his injury and Jackson coming back later this season.
So Forte and Floyd for Boldin?
After the trade: My lineup: Johnson, Foster, LT, White, Boldin, Crabtree His lineup: Charles, Forte, Lynch, Andre Johnson, Steve Johnson, Floyd
Obviously my team is still better but both benefit.
That might be enough to get him to make the trade. It might not be a great upgrade for him but it should be enough for hi to make the trade. I guess it all depends upon how consistent he believes Floyd will be for the rest of the season.

My RBs would be Johnson, Foster, Forte, and Green-Ellis
I'd do it, yes. Especially given the strength of WR to RB in your league. Lineup of CJ, Arian, Boldin, another receiver, and Green-Ellis at Flex is plenty good. It's stronger than you had.
I think i'd take the counter propsal of LT for Boldin just as much as the original proposal.
I know everyone says that LT is looking like "old form", but there's still that "old" word in there. I don't rank him that much higher than Forte, with Forte having more upside.
