Interesting trade offer, need help! WHIR GUARANTEED!

Postby demon22 » Tue Nov 02, 2010 1:27 pm

Ok, so this is my roster

PPR League
QB Peyton Manning
QB Tom Brady
WR Miles Austin
WR Pierre Garcon
WR Steve Smith (NYG)
RB Jamaal Charles
RB Rashard Mendenhall
TE Antonio Gates
W/R/T Ahmad Bradshaw
W/R/T Percy Harvin
BN Cedric Benson
BN Danny Amendola
BN Austin Collie
BN Jonathan Stewart
BN LeGarrette Blount

Today, I was offered this trade, which I think would give me more flexibility but I'm not sure about trading away my RB's.
The trade was...

I give:
Cedric Benson
LeGarrette Blount

I get:
Wes Welker
Vernon Davis

This seems like a no-brainer, but I would like some more input on what you guys think about this trade. WHIR!!!!

First off Davis is hurt AGAIN this week and you already have Gates so why include Davis in the trade at all. You don't really NEED this trade and if the other guy NEEDS an RB then I'd make him overpay by making the offer Benson for Welker straight up. If he says no then just stay with your current team.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

The only reason I'm asking for Davis is for a reliable bye-week fill in for Week 10 when Gates goes on his bye week. After that one game, I am going to attempt to flip Davis to bolster my roster elsewhere.

I understand but you are gambling that you CAN flip Davis for help later. Honestly, I think that Blount will remain a quality RB2 for the remainder of the season and I just don't see you being able to trade Davis for someone as good as Blount. If it were me I would hold on too Blount and just grab a WW TE for week 10.

Completely agree with this. Blount has showed every time he's in that he can play for that team. And their choices are limited. Stay the course...stay the course...

help with mine?

Personally, I see TE as deep enough that you really don't need to stash another TE and people shouldn't be willing to trade too much for good TEs. That, plus the injury risk, makes this deal a no for me.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=483616, thanks!
