Best WW/FA pickup ever?

Postby m16a » Wed Nov 03, 2010 4:24 pm

This thread is inspired by an offshoot conversation being had in a thread about Torain. Seems to be a good topic for the whole of the cafe to chime in on. So far, 08 Bryant, Colston with his WR/TE availability, Ryan Grant when he broke in with the Packers, and Torain this year. So, lets disucss. Within the last 10 years or so, who was the best WW/FA pickup? Lets hear your guys thoughts. ;-D

Larry Johnson in 2005. Priest Holmes was the man in KC at the start of the season so LJ was basically just a handcuff at that point. Holmes got hurt in week 7, then LJ took over and just dominated. 1356 yards on 261 attempts (5.18 ypc) and 16 TDs after week 8 rushing (330 yds & 1 TD receiving). I remember picking him up in the middle of the season in a few leagues and just rode him to the championship.
