Big Trade, Need Help Now! WHIR

Postby nimzox » Wed Nov 03, 2010 5:19 pm

I'm in a ppr league where you can start up to 3 WRs. I was offered Calvin Johnson and Jacob Tamme for McFadden and Mike Williams (Tampa). I like McFadden but if I were to get Megatron, I would have the best WR squad in the league because I also have Andre Johnson, Marshall,And Floyd on my roster. If I were to accept this trade, my remaining RBs would be Blount, Benson, Wells, and Stewart. Would you make this trade? Thanks! WHIR!

Hmmmm... tough to say. Whats the rest of your lineup. List your entire roster with the roster lay out (1QB, 2RB, 3WR????) It really depends on if you need a TE too. If you have a Vernon Davis or Gates, you don't need Tamme. If you have Kellen Winslow then you do need Tamme. Give me more info. But from the looks of it, i'd say no just because your pretty thin at RB. I know Blount had an amazing game last week, but that was one game against a bad Arizona defense.

Help me out:

I don't know man... Your WRs are not too shabby right now.
Andre is the man, Floyd is in a good spot -with his teammate's injuries (if he returns this week), Marshall - well, he had 2 good weeks -so not so hot, Williams has alot of promise in Tampa (I just picked him up off WW - basically has nice matchups for the rest of the season.)
If you give up McFadden, you pretty much just rely on the prospect of Blount becoming a beast. Benson is chugging along at #19 or 20 with a not-so-sweet remaining schedule.
Stewart and Wells are definatley nothing to write home about (I too have Wells).
McFaddens (if he stays healthy) has a SWEET remaining schedule.

Just something to think about...

I would not do this trade. As mentioned above, your wr's are not all that bad to begin with. I think you can get a lot more for McFadden at this point and Tamme is not a proven commodity yet.

Thanks for the help.

Your way to thin at RB to do this trade. As it's prob fair on paper, it does not benefit you more than hurt you. Stick with the WR squad you have.

gl
10 team league
QB- Romo
RB- Charles/Gore/C. Benson/F.Jones/J. Stewart/B. Tate
WR- M. Austin/A. Boldin/M. Williams/K. Britt/J. Ford
TE - M. Lewis
K - Buehler
D- Chargers

Thanks for helping me out.

I take it Tamme is one of the receivers you can start? I think Tamme can continue where Clark left off. He's knows that offense pretty well from what I know.

I have McFadden also and I am always worried about the next injury. With the trade you start Andre and Calvin Johnson every week and play the matchup for the other spot.

Benson is in every week and if Wells is healthy, you have him as your #2.

Because I think Blount is going to be strong in the stretch, I wouldn't see a problem with this trade.

I wouldn't do it. McFadden has been too good, and Mike Williams have been a viable #3 fantasy receiver.

If Stafford were to get hurt again, you'd be screwed. Then again, we haven't seen the rest of your roster.

No way....your WRs are fine....I would love to have MWill on my team right now instead Welkers, Harvins, and my newly broken Britt. Yes Megatron would be an up, but you would lose bigtime at RB...I am not jumping on the Blount hypetrain after one game.

Beanie Wells should be okay moving forward, better than Benson, but you would be too thin giving up MacFadden

help?

I would not do these deals. You have a solid squad. Too much tweaking could derail things.
