I’m 7-1 in my competitive 12-team H2H PPR dynasty league. Was offered two trades, and both have me thinking. My roster is as follows (starters have asterik). Be sure to tell me how I can help you out with advice.
First deal is my Matt Ryan, Marques Colston and James Starks for his Jay Cutler, Reggie Wayne and Pierre Thomas Second offer is one of two first-round picks I have next year, Randy Moss and Marques Colston for Reggie Wayne and Pierre Thomas.
Either offer decent in your opinion, or am I better to sit still?
IMO you lose a little at QB, but win in the other two areas. Never been in a keeper draft before, but I assume you will have time to find a nother stronger QB before Manning retires.
Stay put. Thomas is still hurt and you don't need Cutler either. Definitely hold on to those 1st round picks...with the right choices, you could make your team very strong next year. Help me please: viewtopic.php?t=483853
Both interesting offers. I wouldn't do the first deal though. Ryan is a really special QB, and by the time Manning rolls over, Ryan will be gold.
I'm leaning towards yes on trade two. I think Moss will produce in Tenn like when he was in Minnesota - other WR will benefit the most. and clearly wayne is an upgrade over Colston, and gives you as strong a roster you can have going into the playoffs this year... I think P Thomas will benefit your team a lot more than Moss will too, especially with your flex spot coming into play next year. Knox/Thomas/DWilliams (hopefully) are all plays there. And you still keep one first round pick, so you really aren't putting yourself too far back for next season. I do say it hesitantly because I've never played in dynasty league before, only keeper

I agree, I would jump on that first one.
You're clearly upgrading at WR. At RB it's difficult to really know what you have in James Starks. He's certainly an intriguing player but I'd feel comfortable letting him go for a still relatively young Pierre Thomas who we already know is very talented and effective when healthy. IMO it's debatable who wins at QB. Ryan is younger and obviously is having a better year, but Cutler is still an elite QB in terms of raw talent. He's just not a good fit for Martz's offense -- which has given him problems from the start. But if Cutler ever puts it all together he's going to be a very good fantasy QB and in the meantime he's a great backup.
I wouldn't seriously consider the second offer. It's just not good value.
Definitely go with the first one, Really upgrading you recievers... I am in just a regular 10 team league... I give vick and recieve brady... Vick is awesome when he is healthy but im afraid of the double quarterback situation and brady is just consistent... what do u think?
10 Team league, 1QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, K, Def 6 point TD, 1 pt/10yards Rec/Rush, 1Pt / 25 yards pass
QB - Brady RB - Peterson, Foster, R. Brown, Moreno WR - Austin, S. Rice, Fitz, Ward, V Jax TE - V. Davis, Tamme K - Bryant DEF - From week to week
I'd say no to both. I have yet to play a keeper league, but my logic would tell me Matt ryan is a must have in a league like that. Colston is playing well, and will probably get better. Wayne is obviously better, but it is a keeper league, and Matt Ryan is just too young to give up. And I don't like the second trade at all.

I like it for you. Brady has been disappointing overall, but Vick is erratic in the injury department. His style of play invites injury and big hits.
