Need to drop 2 for a DEF & K this week! WHIR

Postby DukeVBall » Sat Nov 06, 2010 2:37 pm

10-team Non PPR. Need to drop 2 players to pick up a defense and K this week. Who to drop? WHIR.

Crayton (was planning on starting him against HOU)
Blount (was planning to play him in Flex)
Collie
Greene
Welker
Holmes
Floyd
V. Jackson
Ivory
D. Brown
Hernandez
Tamme

Was planning on starting Crayton against HOU but more I think about it, maybe I drop him and start Welker vs. CLE or Holmes vs. DET since Crayton won't have any more value after this week???

Who do I start at TE? Tamme vs. PHI (with Collie back in action) or Hernandez vs. CLE?

QB: Eli
RB1: AP
RB2: Foster
RB/WR: TBD
WR1: Wayne
WR2: TBD
TE: TBD
DEF: Need 1
K: Need 1

Never carry two TE's, I'd trade (or drop if no takers) Henandez for a Defense. Tamme is a Clark clone.

Also, I don't like Welker without Moss and Collie is scary to me. Maybe you can trade those three guys for a good kicker & defense.

I'd drop Hernandez & Collie. You have a ton of Wrs, so when is Collie gonna start? No need for 2 TEs. Good luck this week!

I can't see dropping Collie as he was the #1 WR for a while with his chemistry with Peyton.

Again, leaning towards dropping Crayton cause I won't start him ever again with V Jax and Floyd...but he has a great matchup against HOU

Then I think it comes down to Floyd, Tamme, Hernandez, Ivory, or Brown, right?

Little more help would be appreciated.

Agree with the poster who said drop Hernandez and Brown.

You really don't need two TEs and Tamme has Payton Manning throwing the ball to him. Even if he busts, you can grab another TE off the waiver wire as (other than Gates) TE seems to be a crap shoot every week without huge upside anywhere.

Brown is hurt and not playing well. I am not sure what Ivory numbers have been lately but I don't think he has lit the world of fire. I compare the numbers, but drop one of these two as your other drop.

I dropped ivory because he is coming up against a bye next week and bush comes back in week 11. Plus brees is a throwing qb, pt could brack in week 11 and there's still Jones and betts stealking carries.

I guess that leaves me to dropping Hernandez and brown unless Holmes, crayton, Floyd or collie.

Tamme has one game under his belt and it was without collie in the mix. When collie was there Clark wasn't all that special.

With Donald brown, both addai and hart are injured which is why he gets the ball. But when they return, does brown still get the carries or does Peyton just dink and dunk in place of a running game.

So... Hernandez or brown I guess?

I'd drop Hernadez and Holmes. Hernadez is a young talent but isn't ready yet to become a consistent dominant player. As far as Holmes goes, too many average options for an average quarterback to throw to in NYJ.
