player quit over trade! please opine!

We are in CBS standard scoring 12 team league. Two players in same division tried a trade. Team 1(5-3) traded Ray Rice & Dustin Keller to Team 2(2-6) for Chris Johnson and Tony Moeaki. My thought was that team 2 was giving up and trying to stack team 1. And they are good friends. the trade was vetoed and all hell insued. Please give me your thoughts. 4 people need to object to veto and they did.

That trade should not have been vetoed it isn't all that lop sided.

FWIW, Rice+Keller have exactly 4 points less than Johnson+Moeaki on the season by CBS standard scoring, meaning Team 1 improved by all of 0.44 points per week if those players maintain their current pace.

Personally, I think the CJ24 side wins, but there's an argument to be made that Rice is a buy-low player who has underachieved thusfar.

So while I too would have been annoyed the #1 team managed to pull off a trade like that, no, it shouldn't have been vetoed.
