Trade Vick or Brees for a WR/RB

Postby Nortonfan » Mon Nov 08, 2010 2:32 pm

I picked up Vick back when Kolby got hurt and was going to use him as trade fodder but then he got hurt. Now I have two starting QBs but I'm not sure which one to keep as when Vick plays hes been awesome. I'm hurting in both the RB and WR portion on my team so I'm wondering who you guys think I should trade and for which position?

My team:

QB Brees
RB Moreno
RB Dwilliams
WR Chad Ocho
WR Steve Smith (Car)
WR Patrick Crayton
TE Tamme
K Hartley
DEF Waivers

Bench
QB Vick
WR Austin Collie
WR Malcom Floyd
RB Darren Sproles
RB Chester Taylor
RB Mike Hart

I think I could work out a trade for Steven Jackson for my Brees/Vick or maybe LT and for WR I should be able to get DeSean Jackson. What do you guys think? Should I aim higher in RB?

The first thing you need to do is to identify which team/team need a QB. then see what they have available and whom you are interested in. If they lost Romo but have 3 solid RBs then you might be able to gt their #2 RB for Vick or their #1 RB for Brees.

Ok, this i how you make a trade offer and make it so the other owner CAN'T refuse you. Show him that by making this trade with you that the points he will get from Vick/Brees + his #3 RB (if going for an RB) or his #4 WR (if targeting a WR) >>> his current starting QB (Kitna??) + whatever RB/WR you want in return. If you can do this then it's a win win scenario for both teams and you get to trade a bench player (Vick) to improve your starters. That's HUGE for you. If he is really strong at either RB or WR and can afford to trade one to upgrade at QB then it's also awesome for him. With having CJ, McFadden, Hillis and Wells at RB I Could afford to trade Hillis for AJ and improve my WR's. He had AJ, Ocho, Nicks and Boldin an could afford to trade one for a RB. It was a win win for both of us. Try to do the same. Find an owner with a need for a QB and an abundance at either RB or WR (whichever you need/want the most).
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

12 team redraft: Rivers (Q1), CJ (R1), McFadden (R2), B Wells (R3), Caddy (R4), Forsett (R5), AJ (W1), Fitz (W2), Royal (W3), Sims-Walker (W4), V Jax (W5), V Davis (T1), Kaeding (K1), Jets (D1)
