Trying to trade for Eli Manning

Postby robotninja » Mon Nov 08, 2010 6:39 pm

So manning has been hot and and my Flacco hasnt been doing that great but I think between the two I could upgrade my QB play a lot with matchups. The best matchup is this week with Dallas coming to NYG while Flacco has to go to Atl For thurs night on a real short week.

My Team is
QB: Flacco
RB: Mendenhall, Ray Rice, Shonn Greene, Tashard Choice
WR/TE: Greg Jennings, Collie, Mike Wallace, James Jones, Witten, Tamme (we play 2 wr and 1 wr/te)
Def: NYG,Was, KC, Atl

His Team is
QB: Brady, Eli Manning
RB: AP, Beanie, Buckhalter, Sproles, Barber
WR/TE: Braylon Edwards, Ochocinco, Welker,Heath Miller, Santana Moss, Louis Muphy
Def Colts

I offered Witten and Jones hoping he wants to upgrade at TE and possibly WR and is happy enough with Brady every week to not worry about Manning. I would also be able to plug in Tamme as an every week starter because the colts probably wont be able to sit their starters this year to rest for playoffs as they are no lock to make it.

If he doesnt take this offer where should I go next Jennings or Collie maybe because i could still use Jones, Collie/Jennings, and Witten/Tamme and be ok?

Any advice is appreciated.

I don't know what you are talking about. Flacco has been great and has 12tds in the last 6 games. You can't ask for much more than 2 tds a game from a guy other than Peyton Manning, Rogers, and Brees, however Eli is clearly a good option to have. If he doesn't accept that trade I don't think you should give him much more. You might be able to do a combo of Jennings plus someone else for Santana Moss or Edwards maybe and Eli, so you don't lose too much from it. You shouldn't have to trade Jennings though straight up for him especially since he has Brady. In my league I just traded for Eli and the owner has Rivers and I said look no one really needs a QB right now, the trade deadline is this week, and you will never use him, so take these guys that you will be able to use. Traded Ronnie Brown and Lee Evans for him, which will likely be used a few weeks in his flex the rest of the year. Coincidentally I have Flacco as my co-qb too.

why would he be 'happy enough' with brady when eli has been the better fantasy qb???

eli isn't too much of an upgrade, bad move.

I would stay with Flacco instead of Manning but if you must go after him I would not get rid of Jennings by any means.Yea you have jones too but you want to keep Jennings .Try to package another trade where he will take jones while he is on fire but not Jennings you said he didnt bite try another offer but Jennings forget about it .Keep him all the way to the playoffs!
