Am I giving up too much to get Gates? WHIR

Postby scott1360 » Tue Nov 09, 2010 11:18 am

Am I giving up too much to get Gates? I really want to move one of my WR since TO has become amazing and Gates gives me a ginormous upgrade and basically gives me another WR. Problem is I am worried about having to start Marshall week in, week out. Reason I am looking for Ryan is Schaub has killed me and this would allow me to play match-ups.

I am being offered Gates, Miles Austin Matt Ryan and Mike Wallace for DJax, TO and Moreno.

leage is PPR
my team:
QB- Schaub
RB- Mendy
RB- Bradshaw
WR- Boldin
WR- DJax
WR- TO
TE- Mercedes Lewis
K- Akers
Def- Bears
Bench- McNabb, Fred Jackson, Brandon Marshall, Owen Daniels, Moreno

I think that's definitely helpful to you, the only thing to be wary about is that Austin has had 4 great games and 4 terrible ones so far and you never know what to expect with Kitna behind center.

Thanks for helping me! ;-D

Personally, I do NOT like this deal for you. You would be giving up 2 WR1s (DJAx and TO), and (when healthy) a solid RB with a nice playoff schedule, for a top TE, a QB you will play part time, and a WR who is in the middle of a mess right now. I'd stay put if I were you.

good luck!

I would only do it if you could grab a different WR instead of Miles. With Miles this trade is not worth it.

help?

thansk for the help (I edited it to White for Foster if you like that deal better) - I don't like this trade too much for you. Earlier in the year it would be a no brainer but Dallas is a sinking ship right now and I'd only buy really low on their players. Try to swing a better WR if possible.

Yes, way too much with Dallas in freefall. Ryan is not a huge upgrade over Schaub either.

And, as a Gates owner myself, I am concerned about his foot issues for the season. You should be able to get him on that alone without giving up the shop.

My trade dilemma:

What if I could get him to do Moreno and Desean Jax for Gates?

My starting lineup would then be:
QB- Schaub
RB- Mendy and Bradshaw
WR- TO, Boldin and Marshall
TE- Gates
K-Akers
D-Bears
