Who to drop for a bye week QB replacement?

Postby Tom Emanski AllStars » Tue Nov 09, 2010 10:52 pm

12 team league. Standard scoring.

Who do I drop to make room for a one week fill-in at QB (most likely will be Garrard)

QB-A.Rogers (bye)
WR-R.Moss
WR-H.Nicks
RB-C.Benson
RB-L.Blount
W/R-Mike Williams (TB)
TE-J.Tamme
K-M.Bryant
DEF-GIANTS

BN-Brandon Jackson
BN-Ronnie Brown
BN-Brandon Jacobs
BN-Danny Woodhead (w/r)
BN-Zach Miller

I think the easy choice is woodhead, but his versatility and my lack of WR depth have payed dividends

I'd keep Woodhead for the reason you stated above. Jacobs makes for the best drop IMO. He won't see your starting lineup, is too inconsistent to really hurt you in the hands of someone else in the league, and if you really wanted to, you could probably get him back again next week anyway ;-D

Dropping Jacobs scares me. NYG can run the football, fact. And up until this past week Jacobs was seeing most of the goalline carries, and had scored in the 3 previous games. Not mention he led the Giants last week in rushing. Bradshaw hasn't been known for his durability.

Woodhead might be versatile, but he's a lock for 50+ yds from scrimmage per week. But he's not guaranteed a TD. Plus I can't ever see me playing Woodhead over my 3 WR, unless over course an injury occurs.

side note: Garrard is now been picked up.

my options are:
Jay Cutler vs MIN
Jon Kitna vs NYG

any opinions?

or I could try to trade Z.Miller for a QB
