OK...so I'm currently ranked 3/12 in my league. I have a 6 week winning streak and since my team started to pick up, just can't seem to lose. But you never know. So I made a trade offer to a team that isn't out of it mathematically, but pretty much done, in an effort to possibly solidify my chances into the playoffs. My team looks something like this:
K Orton, M Cassell
L McCoy, P Hillis, L Blount, B Green-Ellis, J Addai, D Williams
R White, A Johnson, T Owens, J Maclin, M Williams (Sea), K Walter
V Shiancoe, B Pettigrew
S Janikowski, Soccup
NYJ Def
The guy I was after was Reggie Wayne. Why? Well, as you can see...it would have made my receiving corps absolutely dominant. So...I offered Blount (some say he's a top ten back for the rest of the way) and J Maclin for Wayne. Two good starters that could give the guy some depth and balance for one receiver. One receiver was not going to help this guy for the rest of the year. Anyways, I propose it, he accepts, then the commish calls foul-play, blocks the trade and locks out the guy I offered the trade to. Keep in mind...I am 3/12 but am first in points...the people complaining were all of course contenders.
What do you guys think? I had absolutely no intention of doing anything unethical. I didn't see anything wrong with this...
