I'm 6-3 in my 12-team H2H league (non-PPR). It's my first year playing 12 teams instead of 10 - quite a difference in the depth.
Any-hoo, I'm pretty much a lock to make the playoffs, so I've turned my attention to improving my team for a strong playoff run. Our playoffs are weeks 14-16. Through trades and acquisitions, this is the team I have slotted for the playoffs:
QB Manning RB MJD RB Foster RB/WR Hines Ward WR Jennings WR Gaffney TE Witten DEF ARI K Prater BENCH QB Palmer RB Keiland Williams RB Mike Hart RB Mike Goodson WR Branch WR Blair White TE Quarless
That's a tough call...I guess you'd be slotting him straight into Ward's spot in the lineup. I don't like your WRs, but I think Greene will be more productive than Ward going forward, so I'd do it. It's not a strong, unequivocal "yes", though.
Thats tough, because I don't think Greene is productive for a few more weeks. The Jets did put T Jones on the backburner towards the end of the year, but this is only the half way point right now.
Thanks for the help with mine. I agree with the other response....Greene's spike in value will be in a few weeks, which is of course playoff time. I don't know if you're quite deep enough at WR, but as long as you don't have an injury to one of your two starters, I think this helps you. Good luck!
Not to confuse things but...to confuse things, I wouldn't go for it. Your WRs aren't deep enough and Greene is a big gamble. LT, like the article says, may not keep this production up through the last half of the season...BUT he does look pretty damn good.
You have the young guys, Goodson and Williams at RB on your bench. They are unproven but stand to see more time than Greene @ 50%. Ward will still get good looks down the stretch b/c he knows he's not the #1 option so he'll kill himself to catch any ball thrown his way.
I say, sit tight. Thanks for your help with mine!

I would also be worried in banking your WR2 on the likes of Gaffney, Branch and White. Gaffney is mostly a 5-6 catch for 60 yards guy these days, whereas Branch can't seem to stay on the field. White isn't worth much unless Collie is out for awhile. Greene, although nice to have along in the flex spot, isn't a guarantee with LT2 butting in. At least Ward has Wallace to detract some attention to him, so he might give you some better games than Greene would. I would stick with what you have.
If anything, try to get the guy to lower his asking price on Greene with the timeshare news. Aside from that one game against Buffalo, Greene has been unimpressive and hardly worth someone who has been more productive with Ben Roth back.
I would hold on to your slight WR depth. You don't need Greene and he has looked downright lost at times. They may use him a bit more to spell LT and keep him fresher for the playoffs(or they may just throw more), but the production probably won't be worth this trade. I think Hines and Ben will get back to their old ways down the stretch and be productive. I would not do this.
Do your homework here and check the remaining schedules before pulling off trades this time of year. I'm not sure I pull the trigger. The Jets in weeks 14-16 face Miami, Pittsburgh and the Bears. Pit and the Bears are currently ranked 1 & 3 against the run. Even if Shonn gets the rock his chances for success aren't too favorable. Pitt in weeks 14-16 face the Bengals, Jets and Panthers. Think you take your chances with Ward. Good luck!
