Brett Favre/Steven Jackson trade

Postby Spokes » Fri Nov 12, 2010 1:54 am

Hey, guys. My trade deadline is Friday and I need some advice on a proposed deal:

I get: Brett Favre and Michael Bush
I give: Steven Jackson.

Now, in my 12-team league, all TDs, including passing TDs are worth six points. But INTs and fumbles are minus-3. Here is my current roster in my two-QB league:

QB: Freeman
QB: Kitna (Yikes!)
WR: Austin
WR: Marshall
WR: Steve Johnson
RB: Turner
RB: S. Jackson
TE: Witten
W/R: Jones-Drew
Bench: Mike Williams (Seattle)
Bench: Britt
Bench: K. Darby
Bench: R. Jennings

I have some nice RBs and I do need some help at QB. But is Favre, with all of his mistakes, enough for Jackson? Should I make this deal?

Thanks for ANY and all help, guys!!

Absolutely do not do this deal. You're losing so much at RB and you can't trust Favre this season.

avoid this trade. Favre has been cut in my league. In any of these upcoming games, he could be taking the hit that finally puts his old bones on the sideline in the 2nd quarter and whoever starts him is sitting with 4 points at the QB position. O:-)

Jackson's a gamer and SL is improving.

Thanks for the responses, guys! I really appreciate it. Would you still not do the deal if he put in Ryan Mathews instead of Bush?

It's really about the same even with Matthews. I just don't think you can trust Favre (or Matthews for that matter) and SJax is a beast.

SJax is an excellent player. I know QBs are highly valued in your league, but in exchange for SJax you should at least get a good one. It sounds like this guy is trying to massively sell high on Favre's career game last week. Kitna, in a league that counts INTs as -3, is a scary option though :-o I don't blame you for exploring trade options.
