How much is too much for Rivers? WHIR

Postby bisklimpkit » Fri Nov 12, 2010 12:00 pm

I'm currently tied for first place in a 10-team, standard scoring league, but my QB situation isn't ideal. I've got Fitzpatrick and Palmer but I'd like a solid, every-week option. The rest of my roster looks like this:

RB - Adrian Peterson
RB - Arian Foster
WR - Reggie Wayne
WR - Hines Ward
WR - Steve Smith (NYG)
TE - Jacob Tamme

Bench:
RB - Peyton Hillis
WR - Malcolm Floyd
WR - Vincent Jackson
WR - Sidney Rice

I'm looking to get Rivers from a guy who, in my opinion, is struggling at RB. His RBs are Frank Gore, Felix Jones, Ronnie Brown, Brandon Jacobs, and DeAngelo Williams. I'm thinking of packaging Fitzpatrick with one of my RBs to get Rivers and one of his lesser RBs, but is giving up Foster or Peterson too much for Rivers?

Leave a link and I'll try to help you back.

I'd send Fitz and Hillis for Rivers and think that is probably a very fair trade. Foster's schedule gets pretty tough going forward, but even with that I dont think the upgrade from Fitz to Rivers is worth losing Foster, but its closer than most people think.

I would ask for a RB in return in conjunction with darkrock's proposal. See if you can't get DAW and cross your fingers for a miracle resurgence. I don't think he would give up Brown or Jacobs in this deal, but better upside than Jones in my opinion.
