Am I crazy? Should I trade P. Manning away?

I'm in a 12 team, non-ppr, non-keeper league. There are 3 divisions, and 4 teams make the playoffs. All TD's are 6pts. I'm 6-3 and 2nd place in my division. Right now I would get the wildcard.

My team is:
QB - P. Manning, Res- K. Orton, S. Hill
RB - A. Foster, Res- M. Lynch, D. Ward
RB - T. Jones, Res- J. Starks, J. Stewart
WR - B. Lloyd, Res- B. Edwards
WR - M. Colston, Res- P. Crayton
WR - R. Moss
K - R. Bironas
Def - Eagles
Non-ppr league. All TD=6pts. Standard Scoring

I'm looking to upgrade my RB's. I want to try and replace T. Jones. I'm looking to make a trade with the following team: (This team is 3-6)
QB - M. Shaub, Res- B. Farve
RB - P. Hillis, Res- R. Mendenhall, B. Green-Ellis
RB - M. Jones Drew, Res- B. Jackson
WR - W. Welker, Res- N. Burleson
WR - M. Floyd, Res- D. Bess
WR - J. Knox
K - L. Tynes
Def - Titans, Res- Green Bay, Oakland

The team I'm trying to trade has 3 real good RB's in Hillis, MJD, and Mendenhall. I feel he could use an upgrade a QB. I tried to get one of his RB's with a trade including Orton, but he declined all trades.
I was thinking of offering P. Manning to him for MJD and Green Bay Def. What do you guys think? I would counting on Orton staying healthy but upgrading at RB. Am I crazy?
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

You can definitely move one of your QBs for an upgrade at RB or WR. I would go after a little more than MJD for Manning though. If you could do it for Orton yeah, but MJD has been a disappointment. Unless you have faith in MJD coming back around, I would look elsewhere.

I agree with prior posters view. MJD isn't a great trade for Manning. Is this the only team that you are targeting to trade with? If no one else will trade with you to obtain Orton, then go ahead and do it, but it's not the best deal.

Alright guys, what if I try for Hillis instead of MJD?

Hillis in place of MJD would make no difference to me. Yes for Orton, no for Manning

Personally, I don't think you make the trade. MJD is more of a name than a good player right now. If he had something a little better in the WR core, you could upgrade there, but I don't see any other way to make your team better against his. And in a 6pt TD league, manning is more valuable than ever.
